WE'RE NOT GOING BACK

Addie Scharff

May the progress women who came before us made, or the rights they went without, never be forgotten or taken for granted. Inspired by the likes of Susan B. Anthony, Madam C.J. Walker, and most recently Hillary Rodham Clinton, Kamal Harris, and many others like them, upon whose shoulders we stand.

    EP 154: RAGE IGNITED

I’m seeing, and feeling, more fragility in the last couple of weeks than I have in quite a while… due to the election results… but it’s mostly due to where our focus is.   Is ignorance bliss?   If ignorance is bliss, do you remember a time in your life when you suffered greatly, only to look back now and ask yourself… “what the heck was I thinking?”.   During the depression not everyone was poor… who prospered? During the pandemic not everyone was lonely… why were some people not lonely?   Who is sad/mad/afraid/ now? … Who is happy/joyful/excited with the election results?   What to do in the next 4 years (or in any difficult time really that’s outside of our control) ** Are we ok right now? Can we breathe, eat, see, hear, have a roof over our head, are we safe? ** Are our loved ones safe, healthy, fed?   ** Are others in our same situation experiencing a different result?  If so, why?   What can we do to remain safe, and to not let our situation make things worse?   How can we get to the other side having used this hardship to improve ourselves?   Let’s make hard times count for some good!   IMPORTANT: If you are in an abusive relationship and you don’t feel safe, call the National Domestic Violence Hotline!
