Speaking is the Fastest Way to Grow Your Business with Dolores Hirschmann

“In the world of AI, people are hungry for honest, authentic conversations.” –Dolores Hirschmann If you’re posting all the time on social media, and wondering where the clients are you’ll want to listen to this conversation with Dolores Hirschmann, who helps people harness the power of speaking to grow their businesses. She shows us the difference between speaking and having an intentional, strategically built talk that takes people from point curious to client. This is different from telling your story. Once you create your talk, it’s rinse and repeat. Creating new messaging, new content, new talks every day can actually hurt your business. Even if you can’t picture yourself on stage or in front of the mic, putting your talk together creates clear, focused, tight content that you can use in other ways in your business. We talk about:  Authenticity to build trust with your audienceHave your key point and give people multiple ways to engage with that ideaHow creating a framework lets you really delve into your creativityThe things you need to think about when looking for speaking gigsHow to measure the success of your talk (it’s not applause)Using technology to streamline the process of securing speaking gigs ABOUT DOLORES Dolores Hirschmann is an investor, strategist, speaker, and founder of Masters in Clarity, a strategy and business coaching firm. Weave it through your days for a week and then move on to the next one. It will have a snowball effect. Here are three Doable Changes from this conversation: ASSESS YOUR SPEAKING. Do you find yourself stumbling when you try to say what you do? Do you ramble too much on sales calls? Do you have your story down pat, but don’t know what to do with it? Are you at a loss when it comes to how to get in front of an audience? What’s getting in your way of speaking?UNDERSTAND THE POWER OF SPEAKING. Think about a powerful speaker you’ve seen. Think about how seeing some one talking built your trust or interest in working with them. Remember this when you start to wonder if speaking is for you.GET HELP FROM A PRO. Mindset of Relationships with Tannaz Hosseinpour

“Self worth is not something that's earned. It's something that is remembered.”  –Tannaz Hosseinpour Individualism and isolation are doing a number on us. Relationship specialist Tannaz Hosseinpour helps us see why things aren’t working — and what we can do about it. We all want to belong, even us introverts who need time alone. We want the village we were promised, but to be able to make the most of it, we need to be able to receive it. Tannaz and I explore both how the collective can support us and what we need as individuals to thrive. We talk about:  How prioritizing individualism over collectivism and masculine energy over feminine leads to problemsWhy we need connection to energy bigger than ourselves and learning to feel safe receivingThe impact of COVID and our resultant sense of safety on relationships nowHaving an internal anchor to ground yourselfHow to set boundaries with others and ourselves5 different kinds of intimacy we crave ABOUT TANNAZ Tannaz Hosseinpour is a relationship coach and registered psychotherapist (qualifying) who helps individuals build emotionally secure relationships, starting with the one they have with themselves. She blends nervous system regulation, psychodynamic insights, somatic modalities and belief reprogramming to help clients break free from limiting patterns and feel safe in love, purpose, and self-expression. By stacking up a series of Doable Changes, you will create that big change that you crave. Choose the one that really resonates with you this week and really make it part of your life.  Here are Three Doable Changes from this conversation: SMALL STEPS TO FEELING SAFE WITH PEOPLE. Post-Covid, a lot of us don’t feel safe in public or large groups, and we may not even realize it. Taking small steps to spend time with people can make a difference. Try getting together with one or two people. Breathe through discomfort. Remind yourself you are safe. Try a small group.SET A BOUNDARY. Instead of getting angry at somebody else when you feel hurt, express your “I” statement about how you feel and what you would like. Enforce the boundary. If the other person does not respond, choose the change your actions.TAKE A BREAK. Next time you find yourself in an argument or going around and around in circles of not understanding, take a break. Give yourself at least 20 minutes to re regulate. Come back to the conversation when all parties have had a chance to do that.

Money and Divorce with Gabriella Martinelli

“Divorce is mostly about money.” –Gabriella Martinelli Married? Do you know where your money is? I’m really excited to talk with Gabriella Martinelli, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, about what we need to know about our finances and protecting ourselves before or during a divorce. Even if you don’t think you are headed in that direction, you can protect yourself, because if you don’t know where the money is or don’t have access to the accounts, and something happens, you’re stuck. Divorce is often messy — a mix of emotions, laws that aren’t clear, and financial confusion. Getting clarity around the money can help you make choices from a better place. We talk about:  Why so many women don’t know about money — and why it’s a problemFinancial and nonfinancial contributions to the familyFear about not having enough money and trust about money going both ways Protecting your business early and keeping business expenses separate from household expensesQuestions you should be asking and how you can start to find informationWhy you should hire a CDFA before an attorney if you are moving toward divorce ABOUT GABRIELLA Gabriella E. Martinelli is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® (CDFA®) and founder of Ever After Wealth®. With 21 years of experience in divorce finance, including 16 working alongside top attorneys, Gabriella helps individuals and professionals navigate the financial complexities of divorce with clarity and confidence. Change comes from action.  Doable changes are things that you can add into your life, one at a time to make micro shifts and really create a ripple effect that will create a big change over time. Choose one that really piques your interest and roll with it.  Here are three Doable Changes from this conversation: GET A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR FAMILY FINANCIAL PICTURE. What accounts do you have? What investments? What debt? Are your names on those accounts? Ask questions. Collect information. Ask for more access. It’s not only useful in case of divorce, but also in case something happens to your spouse and you need to do more than you are doing financially.DIG DEEPER. Gabriella offers some ideas about using tax returns, credit reports, and other documents to start to gather information on your own if you feel you can’t ask questions or don’t trust the answers.PROTECT YOUR BUSINESS. While protecting your business may take multiple changes, the first step you can take is to talk to an attorney about protecting your business as your livelihood in case, separate from other assets. From there you can make decisions about what you need to do.
