Photographer | Director | Cinematographer Jose Angel is a world-renowned international award winning & published documentary photographer, director, cinematographer, film score composer, ASCAP & Copyright Alliance member based between the U.S & Mexico and extending his brand as far as London. Born and raised on the rough streets of Chicago and being surrounded by drugs, gangs, violence and shootings in his neighborhood wasn't the easiest or the best lifestyle for him as a kid, but that made him a tough kid to be reckoned with. He lost a few close friends along the way due to gangs, drugs, violence and shootings in Chicago. Having family members and friends that had ties to gangs made him realize quickly that he needed to choose a different path for his future. That’s when he decided to pick up a camera and the rest was history. Jose Angel grew up DJing and listening to House Music, Deep House, Tech House, Disco House, French House, Acid House and everything else in between. As a House Music ambassador this allowed him to work alongside and build friendships and longtime relationships with some international legends and pioneers in the House Music industry such as DJ Sneak, Bad Boy Bill, DJ Slugo, Mark Farina, Tyree Cooper, Fast Eddie, Ralphi Rosario, DJ Jes, DJ Ares, Derrick Carter, CZR, DJ Matt B, Joe Smooth, Farley Jackmaster Funk, The Phantoms Revenge, Paul Johnson, Frankie Knuckles, Rafael “Ito” Garcia, Todd Terry, Felix Da Housecat, DJ Colette & DJ AM just to name a few. He is currently working on a "House Music Documentary" to be released in the near future and is also building up his music catalog in the world of Filmmaking, Cinema & Filmscoring. José Ángel es un fotógrafo documental, director, cinematógrafo, compositor de bandas sonoras y miembro de ASCAP, reconocido internacionalmente y galardonado, con sede entre Estados Unidos y México, y cuya marca llega hasta Londres. Nació y creció en las calles de Chicago, rodeado de drogas, pandillas, violencia y tiroteos en su vecindario, lo que no fue la vida más fácil ni la mejor para él de niño, pero eso lo convirtió en un chico duro a tener en cuenta. Perdió a algunos amigos cercanos en el camino debido a las pandillas, las drogas, la violencia y los tiroteos en Chicago. Tener familiares y amigos vinculados a las pandillas le hizo darse cuenta rápidamente de que necesitaba un camino diferente para su futuro. Fue entonces cuando decidió tomar una cámara y el resto es historia.

Cesar Galvez better known as DJ Ares a Chicago native born and raised on the Southside of Chicago in the Little Village neighborhood, he learned very early on that he needed to focus on the greater good and not fall into the pressure of gangs, drugs and violence in his neighborhood. That's when he discovered his love and passion for music, Cesar was inspired by his brother DJ Jes from Fresca Recordings. The deeper he went into music the more he understood the House Music culture & community and that's when he discovered a hidden talent that was only going to get bigger than life and that's when he started his musical journey into DJing and producing. Todo comenzó con una idea; justo dónde empezaba a explorar lo que eran las redes sociales y los filtros de las aplicaciones, pero no era fan de los filtros así que comencé a tomarme fotos con estilo urbano, y mis amigos me decían que les gustaban y me pedían que les tomara fotos por qué me salía bien... No le tomaba tanta importancia por qué era para redes sociales y pues fotos de mis amigos, sin embargo conocí un trabajo cerca de la alcaldía cuauhtémoc en la cual era caminar por gran parte de la cuidad, y el presente me hacía admirar la cultura y modernidad que hay en mi cd de origen, comencé a tomar fotos por mera atracción visual pero un día camine por fuera de la primera sección de Chapultepec donde ví por primera vez una exposición de fotos antiguas en las rejas de el bosque, y pensé que sería maravilloso ver cómo mi trabajo era reconocido como para exponer en alguna parte de la cd, así que comenzó la idea de ser fotógrafo...Lo intente por algunos años pero no tenía éxito, y hoy en día estudio en la escuela para fotógrafos susunaga dónde entregaré lo mejor de mi para poder entrar a sus corazones, y hablarles sobre como se ve el mundo desde mis ojos sin decir ni una sola palabra estoy agradecido con este proceso y nada es fácil, por qué...Yo no fracasé mil veces encontré mil veces la manera de llegar al éxito!!

    Directed & Produced: Jose Angel We had SLUGO in the house today, we got the opportunity to sit down and chop it up with him about his Chicago roots, Ghetto House, House Music and the footwork & juke culture. Slugo is one of the founding fathers of the musical style known as Ghetto House / Juke Music, has been beating the box for over 20 years. DJ Slugo has been performing since the early 1990’s as a member of Chicago’s infamous Dance Mania label, along with co-conspirators Paul Johnson and DJ Deeon. Slugo is world-renowned for his hits including, Wouldn’t You Like to be a Hoe Too, A Blunt, Godzilla Track, Where the Rats, and many more. SLUGO was also just recently in an interview with MIXMAG talking about his music journey. London’s Underbeat Magazine calls Slugo’s Cardboard Booty album, “The most influential Ghetto House CD ever made,” and went on to call him, “The Ghetto-father of the American Dance floor.” His Chicago Juke DVD’s have gained over 2-million views in 2017. Daft Punk credits him by name, and references his track DJ’s On the Low, on their iconic song Teachers. He was featured by name recently on HBO’s hit TV show Ballers along with his track, I Ain’t Yo Baby Daddy, and has done remixes for artists such as Nina Kraviz (Ghetto Kraviz) and Missy Elliott (Work It), and has collaborations on the horizon with artists and labels in France, Brooklyn, and Japan.

A House Music & Hip House legend, pioneer and friend, Tyree Cooper the worldwide producer awesome super duper trooper the pioneer behind the Chicago legendary tracks "Turn Up The Bass" with Kool Rock Steady and Tyree Cooper Ft. Chic -"I Fear The Night". Tyree Cooper is part of the first Global House music revolution that started in Chicago. His contribution to House Music & Acid House is unmatched and led him to co-create Hip House alongside DJ Fast Eddie, widening the appeal of House music worldwide. Growing up on the streets of Chicago’s South Side, listening to Farley Jackmaster Funk and The Hot Mix 5, Ron Hardy, Frankie Knuckles and his mother’s and uncles’ music collection, Tyree was well schooled in music at an early age. As a freshman he joined the Simeon H.S Concert and Marching Band. Two years after college Tyree was already one of the most popular and highly sought-after DJs in Chicago. He was then approached by Vince Lawrence of the House band Jesse’s Gang (founded by Jesse Saunders) who persuaded Tyree to put together a demo tape of his music to start a career as a recording artist. From now on, it was only a question of time before signing the first record deal with the Chicago based underground label D.J. International Records and the rest was history in the making.
