Directed by master of horror, Guillermo DelToro and starring Oscar Isaac as the titular mad scientist obsessed with bringing the dead back to life. This film also stars Jacob Elordi as his tragic creation who just wants affection and a little love from his father/creator. Also, in supporting roles are Mia Goth and Christoph Waltz. This film has been a passion project for DelToro and he has been trying to get it made for almost decades now. It's a very faithful adaptation of Mary Shelley's novel but, how successful was DelToro in adapting this horror classic? Listen in and find out what we thoguht!

In this film, Count Dracula purchases property in Harker's village and moves from Transylvania to Wismar, spreading the Black Plague across the land. Only Harker's fiance, Lucy, a woman who is pure of heart, can bring an end to his reign of horror.

So, while Derek and Tito prepare to head down to the Big Apple for New York Comic Con next week, Marc an Brien jumped in the escape-pod and headed up North to the Big Smoke (that's Canadian slang for Toronto) to meet up with friends-of-the-show (and fellow podcasters) Christopher and Tristan Ham of the Get Your Shinebox podcast. While we were there, we took in a couple of Toronto Blue Jays baseball games and hung out to drink copious amounts of alcohol, eat poutine and watch lots of movies...two of which we talk about in this week's episode, Blood of Heroes (starring Rutger Hauer, Delroy Lindo, Vincent D'Onofrio and Joan Chen) and Turbo Kid (featuring Michael Ironside).
