Two Interracial Couples on a Quest: A D&D Podcast Where Fantasy and the Real World Collide.
Every episode begins with an actual play dnd session. We play 5th Edition in our home brew world of Rokhatima. Then, we talk about all the crit that went down! Microaggressions from an NPC...we gonna talk about it. Near death experience...we gonna talk about it...character choices that are thinly veiled lover’s quarrels...yeah we should probably talk about that. Come Through!

That’s How Time Works (Launch Party)
In honor of our launch, we're throwing a little party. It's an opportunity to introduce ourselves, and go on a few fun tangents.
We recorded this just before launching the pod, a solid six months after recording Episode 1, so we've learned a lot about what this podcast truly is, and we want to share it with you as you begin the journey with us! Don't worry, there aren't any spoilers, so feel free to listen before you start Episode 1, or come back to it later.
And there's more over on the Patreon, where we have a whole slew of ice breaker questions for the cast.
Big thanks to our collaborators:

Two Interracial Couples on a Quest (Episode 0)
This the first thing we recorded for the series! Joshua, Deanna, Kylee, and Torsten talk about the world of the game, their ideas for characters, and what makes this podcast unique!
Episode 0 gives us an opportunity to discuss what we're interested in for the game, and how we're going to make it happen. We even roll ability scores on mic!
Feel free to listen before you start the story at Episode 1, or come back to this later.
Strong Beyonce Energy (Episode 1)
Welcome to Rokhatima!
Join Jasoo, Jo, and Titan as they meet in the city of Stormhaven, and deal with whatever crit is thrown their way.
Then see what Deanna, Kylee, Joshua, and Tor have to say about those uncommonly frequent times when crit happens.
Vibe Check (Episode 2)
Jasoo, Titan, and Jo make their way to Longstrom and deliver much needed water. After investigating the stream themselves, and connecting with Malaia, they venture uphill into the forested mountainside.
Listen to the invention of The Crunch of the Dice (stay tuned for more info!) and hot takes on camping in dnd.
Thanks for your support! Your ratings, reviews, and subscriptions are much appreciated.
We’re All Learning Here (Let’s Get Critical)
Welcome to the first episode of a segment we’re calling Let’s Get Critical.
It’s a Patreon Exclusive Bonus Show where we do a deep dive into something that’s come up on the podcast. This time we’ll be talking about stuff from Episode 2, so you’ll want to make sure you’ve listened to that first.
This is only one of the shows that will be offered exclusively to our members, so head over Patreon to find more in depth content like this.
Thank you, and enjoy!
Have You Heard of the Light of the Sun? (Episode 3)
Our third full episode!
Jo, Jasoo, and Titan continue their foray into the forest, encountering some of its inhabitants. They get some rest in an unlikely spot, and enjoy acorn coffee, despite its caffeination limitations.
Their host plays guide and shows them the source of the stream's impurities. Getting close enough to fix it, though, might prove ruff.
The discussion to follow covers everything from the ethics of imaginary bloodshed to 90s professional wrestling slang.
Plus, Deanna reads all the five star reviews we've received so far. If you want yours read on the show, leave one today!
Looking forward to my commute
(To be read by the one, Kylee Marie Brinkman)
I had a long day the other day, got to my car and thought about the long commute. And then I realized I had an episode of When Crit Happens and immediately got excited.
The character development is going wonderful and the hilarious conversations keep this podcast fun and leave me wanting more.
Stand Out DnD Pod
I listen to a lot of dnd podcasts. Like, a lot. This one's doing something different, and I dig it. Glad I found it early, and excited to see where they go. Also, definitely recommend their Patreon only content. I think it's some of the most interesting stuff they've done.
Hot Rolls, Hot Takes
The role play changes pace in a really great way, keeping it interesting-sometimes it's silly, sometimes they take time to really let a moment land. And the real talk at the end of the episodes is similar-a great mix of (hilarious) randomness and on point talk. Check it out for yourself!
