When the Cavalry Came - with Lisa Laureta!

We decided to air an episode this week because I and my guest, Lisa Laureta, both protested at Black Lives Matter Marches. When the Cavalry Came supports BLM and encourages our listeners to get involved by protesting, donating, and sending emails to their local officials.  Lisa shares her experience at the BLM protest on Saturday, May 30th at Pan Pacific Park. She explains that the protest was peaceful and emotional until the cops showed up. The cops were provocative and aggressive to the protestors.  Lisa then shares a story about a recent time COVID19 forced her to lose her jobs and go on food stamps. She explains that she had to go to Trader Joe's to buy food for her and a friend. Her food stamp card wasn't working, but instead of letting her go home without food the cashiers at Trader Joe's teamed up and paid for Lisa's food.  When the Cavalry Came supports humans helping humans and encourages everyone to do their part to fight the racial injustice happening today.  Lisa Laureta:  Website: https://www.lisalaureta.com/  IG: https://www.instagram.com/lisalaureta/  Twitter: https://twitter.com/LisaLaureta  Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJR9ZL-XWeghLKaw6VDyYbw  Where to donate:  George Floyd Memorial Fund - https://www.gofundme.com/f/georgefloyd  Minnesota Freedom Fund - https://minnesotafreedomfund.org/  Black Vision Collective - https://www.blackvisionsmn.org/  Reclaim the Block - https://www.reclaimtheblock.org/home  Campaign Zero - https://www.joincampaignzero.org/  Unicorn Riot - https://unicornriot.ninja/
