Eureka Street Presents
NOTE: We've re-located When We All Get to Heaven to live in Slate's Outward podcast. New episodes releasing now! -- When We All Get to Heaven tells the story how one of the first gay-positive churches, the Metropolitan Community Church of San Francisco, faced the personal, social, and political trials of the AIDS epidemic, including the deaths of hundreds of members. Our project is based on an archive of 1200 rescued recordings of worship services from the height of the AIDS crisis, 1987-2003. It follows this community as it struggles to make meaning of illness, death, and isolation while caught between two worlds: a religious world saying gays had no place and a gay rights movement saying God had no place. Our Team: Lynne Gerber – Host, Co-Creator, and Executive Producer Ariana Nedelman – Co-Creator, Producer Siri Colom – Co-Creator, Producer Krissy Clark – Managing Producer Sayre Quevedo – Story Editor David Herman – Sound Designer Tim Dillinger – Consulting Producer Hosted on Acast.
