    Belonging with Sabreet Kang Rajeev

Hello and welcome to Season 2, Episode 3 of where you belong! Today on the show we have Sabreet Kang Rajeev! Sabreet is a first-generation Indian American of Sikh descent. Sabreet is a full-time social-science researcher and holds an MA in sociology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and BA in sociology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is currently completing her doctorate at the University of Baltimore. Throughout her life, Sabreet experienced the beauty and struggle of being part of a blue-collar immigrant family, and she is driven to raise awareness and empathy for a minority group of Indian Americans who do not historically come from educational or economic privilege. Generation Zero is her first book, and it is incredible. This episode is one of my favorites because of the way Sabreet studies the world around her and explores our social conditioning and how that impacts her community. I can't wait for you to listen in and take in what Sabreet has to say, if you want to find out more about this brilliant human, check out her website: https://www.sabreetkangrajeev.com/ And as always hit me up on IG @iamannachapman for questions, comments, or your experience of the show!

Finding the community I’ve always wanted!

LOVE THIS SO MUCH! This podcast has been like connecting with friends I never knew I had!I’ve laughed, I’ve cried, I’ve been educated and most of all I feel welcomed into a space where I have felt seen. I’m so excited for the community that is is building for everyone!

Magical

Anna has a cool, calm and loving way of showing you that you do belong. It can look different to you than it does to another but she helps to allow you to celebrate your own sense of belonging. Her voice moves from smooth velvet to bubbling sunshine. I am grateful for this cast in a time of loneliness and isolation. She allows me to feel comfort and ease from the moment she starts to speak.

We ALL belong and Anna reminds us why

Anna has a beautiful soothing voice and she also asks very pointed and meaningful questions of the amazing women she’s chosen to interview. As soon as she mentions “unconditional friendliness” I know I belong here.
