Boardmasters 2025 was a year to remember. The sun was shining down on a stunning Watergate Bay as a stacked lineup, ranging from some of the UK’s biggest new acts to local Cornish favourites, brought the party to Newquay at this year’s festival.  In this episode, we start off at The View stage where we chat with rising star, Jack Dean. We talk about this smash hit Church in the Morning and his journey as a singer and the value he has had in professional vocal coaching. We then chat with another South West phenomenon Polly Money about her EP, the contrast between London and Cornwall, and the advice she would give to new artists starting out.  From anthemic singalong pop to tradition dance music, we sit down with Bagas Fellyon to talk about Nos Lowen and the vast history of traditional Cornish music, as well as how bands like Bagas Fellyon are keeping the traditional dance alive! We then continue the theme of dancing and learn all about Malka, and how her roots in Spain and the South West have influenced and shaped her upbeat sound.  We finish off with a catch with fellow photographer and music reviewer Steve from Musomuso. We learn about his experiences of covering Boardmasters for 11 years and some of his highlights from this year. Special thanks to the team at Gala PR for making this possible!
