    #52 Sexual Healing Part III

    #52 Sexual Healing Part III

In our third and final episode in this series, we answer some questions including: how can sex heal when I think the problem is that we’re not having enough sex; does the cultural pressure around sex make the process of sexual healing harder to work through; and, can sex help heal the pain from cheating? As usual, these listener questions provided texture and depth to the discussion.

    #51 Sexual Healing Part II

For part two we’re joined by our brilliant friend Caroline, an intimacy coach who works with clients to explore topics such as embodiment, desire, dating, attachment, boundaries, inner-child work, and pleasure. We discuss sexual healing as a practice, and its varying modalities; the inherent, and culturally imposed limitations of these practices; the value of vulnerability in a coach-client dynamic; and the far-reaching power of connection. #50 Sexual Healing Part I

We’re kicking off another three part series! In this episode we begin by discussing the nature and breadth of sexual healing, as well as the ways in which we’ve come to understand it. We venture slightly into the relationship between trauma and healing, and we delve more deeply into the power of sex as a growth and healing modality. There’s much to explore with this topic, and we’re just getting started.

    #49 The Madonna-Whore Complex

    #49 The Madonna-Whore Complex

We’ve danced around this one, even discussed it explicitly once or twice, but we all know it deserved its own episode. This is a conversation about a culturally imposed lens that has done nothing but distort and obscure. Over the course of this conversation we discuss: the ways in which Freud’s madonna-whore complex has tainted our views of modern sexuality and relationships; why so many women struggle with the notion of “having it all,” and what to do about it.

    #48 Relationship Communication

    #48 Relationship Communication

In this episode we talk about talking. Specifically, we discuss the nature and importance of discernment; the ways in which communication styles can vary relationship to relationship and person to person; and what happens when these styles don’t blend well, and things break down. Not surprisingly, we have a lot to say about the things we say.

Great podcast!

Incredibly well thought out, provocative, and informative episodes about human sexuality in general from two very bright, very articulate women. Anya and Erin express their ideas clearly, with purpose, and focused intentionality. As a Gen-X male in his 50s, I’ve learned a thing or two about feminine perspectives that I had no idea on before I started listening. Highly recommended. Thank you, Anya and Erin, for what you’re doing with this podcast and empowering women (and men) in the process. Kindest regards, Drew

unpretentious women talking

giving it 5 stars just for that, too much of women talking these days especially about sex and love ideologies are talking down to men, they excuse all of women's actions and allow no place for women to grow. This podcasts view is entirely different, in that they show respect to women not by always giving them a pass but by giving their listeners tools and questions to critique their choices. As a young woman(22) i like to think about them as my older sisters helping me navigate relationships with others and me self! :)
