Episode 5: Talking 'bout Dialogue
Mark and Brandon discuss one of the fundamental pieces of any story - dialogue. How the characters speak, the way the author crafts a character's tone and dialect, and the way characters interact with others are all massive attributes of characterization. When done right, you get a rounded, fully-fleshed out character; but when flawed or there isn't enough, the reader can get drawn out of what they're reading.

Brandon (editor and author) and Mark (lead franchise author) make a delightful pair in a fun, witty, and informative show about literature, writing, and the trials and triumphs of their corner of the publishing industry. Episodes are the perfect length and engaging throughout.
At the time of review the podcast had just launched with two episodes (perfectly timed for my road trip), but I think this review will stand the test of time. Definitely worth a listen if you’re interested in science fiction and fantasy, and absolutely critical if you’re a fan of tabletop wargames or want to write something yourself.
