F1 Spanish GP Race Review | Kimi Wins, VSC Robs Lando & Madring Flops

Formula 1 officially made its debut at the new Madring circuit for the 2026 Spanish Grand Prix… and unfortunately, the racing didn’t exactly live up to the hype. Kimi Antonelli took his eighth win of the season after a perfectly timed Virtual Safety Car completely changed the race for Lando Norris. Lando started from pole, was the fastest driver on track and held off Kimi, Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc early on, but the VSC timing left McLaren with very few options and ultimately cost him the win. We break down Kimi’s victory, Lando’s unlucky race, Max’s latest podium, George Russell’s weekend and another strong showing from Liam Lawson in the Red Bull. We also get into Oscar Piastri’s continued struggles this season, Lewis Hamilton’s first DNF of 2026 after a brake failure, Charles Leclerc’s P4 and our confusion over some of the commentary surrounding Lewis’ retirement. Plus, we talk about why the first F1 race at Madring was such a snooze fest, the lack of overtaking opportunities and what the drivers had to say about the new circuit. And finally, Fernando Alonso’s future in Formula 1 comes up again after the FIA president personally spoke with him about what could be done to keep him in the sport. As always, we finish with our best and worst of the weekend and look ahead to Baku. Let us know what you thought of the first race at Madring in the comments and don’t forget to subscribe for more F1 race reviews, F1 Academy coverage and everything in between!  Watch full episodes (including this one) on YouTube. F1 Italian GP Race Review | Kimi Antonelli Wins From P19 in a Historic Home Drive

In this episode, we recap the 2026 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, where Kimi Antonelli charged from P19 to P1 to become the first Italian driver to win at the circuit since 1966. We break down how Antonelli recovered after taking new power unit components, climbed through the field following the early red flag, and used a well timed stop under the virtual safety car to hunt down George Russell. Russell did everything he could to defend the lead on heavily worn hard tires before finishing P2, while Max Verstappen completed the podium. Ferrari’s home race did not go according to plan. Charles Leclerc crashed out early while fighting near the front, triggering the red flag, and Lewis Hamilton recovered from an opening lap trip through the gravel to run as high as P3. We discuss Ferrari’s decision to leave Hamilton out on aging medium tires, his eventual P6 finish, and why the team’s strategy continues to cause frustration. We also cover Pierre Gasly’s first Formula 1 pole and P7 finish, Franco Colapinto’s recovery to P9, the late McLaren fight between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, and Yuki Tsunoda scoring a point in only his second race back with Racing Bulls. Plus, we discuss Liam Lawson’s difficult substitute weekend, Aston Martin’s double DNF, the effect of Monza’s long straights on the new regulations, and our picks for the best and worst of the race. Finally, we preview Formula 1’s first trip to the new Madring circuit, including its long straights, heavy braking zones, unknown tire strategy, and our early podium predictions. F1 Academy Zandvoort Recap | Westcott’s Maiden Win & Palmowski’s Grand Slam

In this episode, we recap the 2026 F1 Academy weekend at Zandvoort, where Payton Westcott turned a last-minute reverse-grid pole into her first F1 Academy victory and Alisha Palmowski answered a difficult opening race with the first grand slam of her F1 Academy career. We break down the wet-to-dry qualifying session, Palmowski’s fourth pole of the season, the red flags, and Zoe Florescu’s technical disqualification after initially qualifying P7. We also cover Westcott’s control of both safety-car restarts, Palmowski’s stalled start, the penalties and DNFs for Natalia Granada and Jade Jacquet, and a much cleaner feature race in which all 18 drivers reached the finish. It was also a huge weekend for MP Motorsport. Alba Larsen earned the first two F1 Academy podiums of her career with back-to-back P2 finishes, while Nina Gademan delivered two P3 finishes on home soil. We discuss Palmowski’s tire management, Larsen’s early pressure for the lead, and how the results changed both championship tables. Palmowski now leads Emma Felbermayr by 48 points, Larsen has climbed from ninth to fourth, and Campos Racing has extended its teams’ championship advantage. Finally, we spotlight wild-card driver Zoe Florescu and weekend standout Alba Larsen before looking ahead to Austin’s three-race weekend and Palmowski’s first opportunity to clinch the title. F1 Dutch GP Race Review | Lando Norris Wins as Max Verstappen Crashes Out

In this episode, we recap the 2026 F1 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, where Lando Norris made it back-to-back wins for McLaren. Kimi Antonelli and George Russell completed a double podium for Mercedes, while Max Verstappen’s final home race for the foreseeable future ended early after a rare mistake sent him into the barriers. We break down the two standing starts, tire and VSC strategy, Mercedes’ decision to swap Russell and Antonelli, and Ferrari turning a fairly simple team-order call between Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc into a much bigger situation. We also discuss Oscar Piastri’s slow pit stop, Liam Lawson’s impressive P7 on his Red Bull return, Yuki Tsunoda stepping back into a Racing Bulls car, and strong recovery drives from Nico Hülkenberg and Fernando Alonso. Plus, George Russell’s sprint victory, the updated driver standings, Carlos Sainz’s penalty for his collision with Alex Albon, the weekend’s DNFs, our best and worst picks, and an early look at the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. F1 Belgian GP Race Review | Antonelli Wins as Hamilton’s Penalty Sparks Questions

In this episode, we recap the 2026 Belgian Grand Prix at Spa, where Kimi Antonelli took the win ahead of Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen. We break down another commanding weekend from Antonelli, George Russell’s power-deployment problems and opening-lap DNF after contact with Lewis Hamilton, and Ferrari’s chaotic afternoon. Charles fought his way to P2, while Lewis recovered to P4 despite a five-second penalty, a delayed pit stop, an unsafe release involving a Ferrari mechanic, and a front-wing change that never happened. We also discuss Isack Hadjar’s huge recovery from P21 to P6, Lando Norris climbing from P13 to P7, Oscar Piastri’s floor damage, Audi’s back-to-back points, and Franco Colapinto securing P10 for Alpine. Plus, we have plenty to say about the broadcast barely showing the midfield, the stewards’ inconsistent decisions, our best and worst of the weekend, and our early predictions for the Hungarian GP.
