    From Stay-at-Home Mom to Multipassionate Career Woman: Navigating the Challenges and Embracing the Journey of Returning to Work

    Hello all you happy little bluebirds! Welcome back to my podcast "Why, Oh Why, Can't I?" Today, I want to share my personal journey of returning to the NICU as an registered nurse after taking a seven-year break to raise my kids. I know that many of you may be in a similar position, feeling uncertain and scared about what the future holds. But I want to tell you that it is possible to return to a career or job you're passionate about, even after taking a long break. I remember feeling anxious and overwhelmed just thinking about searching for a job. I couldn't help but wonder what it would mean for my family life and our daily schedule. But as I started to look for job opportunities, I realized that it wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. I found a position that was a great fit for me and my family, and it allowed me to pursue my passions while still being there for my kids. One thing I've learned along the way is to trust my gut. I've come across jobs in the past that I thought would be a good fit, but I always talked myself out of applying because I didn't know how it would work out. But this time, I followed my instincts and it led me to the perfect opportunity. I know that returning to the workforce after taking a long break can be difficult, but it's important to remember that as mothers, we are incredibly resilient and resourceful. We will always do what's best for our families. And even if it feels scary at first, know that you can navigate this journey and make it work for you and your family. So, for all the multipassionate women out there who may be taking a break from their career or job, I want to remind you that it's never too late to follow your dreams and pursue what makes you happy.
