Ep. 165 | The Skeltons in Tiffany's Closet. Literally.
Tiffany Skelton's story is a lot. Her husband suffered from long-term mental illnesses as they both parented their six children. Tiffany knows what it's like to become a widow from suicide, but that's not where her story ends. After becoming a widow, Tiffany experienced sexual assault as she was trying to date post-loss. Since then, she has learned a lot about herself, grief, and things to keep in mind while staying safe as a woman on the planet. She is on a mission to share her story in the hopes that it helps prevent things like this happening to someone else.

Ep. 163 | Audry and Adler's Unplanned Adventure
Audry Henniger is rad. She lives in a forest in a log cabin, works for the greater good of humanity (aka Dogs!), and is a widow who is taking action to improve available rescue equipment for first responders to help those who get lost or hurt in the backcountry. Audry shares her story of how she lost her husband due to a kayak accident and how she is taking steps to help others as she navigates widowhood.

Surviving and thriving
Just listened to this week’s episode! As I approach the ten year mark, I can say I’ve experienced all the stages that you discussed. However, I think it is also really important to recognize that definitions often change as well. So what I would have said, was thriving before may not be at all the same as what I think thriving is now. And just because, I am not thriving based on the prior definition, does not mean that I am not thriving based on my reality now. You can’t measure yourself against an old goal post when you are playing a different game. If you ever want to talk about the long game, give me a shout!
So real
This podcast is so real if you are a widow. Just like life, it has the deep sadness and big laughs, and everything that’s complicated in between. I didn’t get to see Anita and Mel at Camp Widow in March but I followed up by listening to their podcast - so glad I did! Thank you for staying with this well beyond the “first year”. That‘a the support and education that is so needed for all of us finding our way. Thank you! I continue to share this with others - sending big hugs your way!
Thank you
Episode 126 was comforting and interesting. I’ve wanted to have more dreams and wondered why I wasn’t. Now I understand the many reasons I might now be remembering them. Thank you Dr Black.
