It’s fun hearing random articles from wiki that you’d normally wouldn’t happen across. The blind reading aspect makes for some pronunciation attempts that are mutually hilarious for the hosts and the listeners. Rachel is delightful and Victor is insightful. However Victor has a tendency to be awfully dismissive, bordering on rude, to Rachel, hence the cringe.

I appreciated that the hosts were concerned with the origin of the name "Jews harp" an how that could lead to uncomfortable stereotypes of Jews. I did not appreciate, however, the extent to which they mispronounced all the non-English names for the instrument, and then said "these names are crazy". In my opinion if you're referring to non-English names for an instrument as "crazy" you are using your platform to further otherize people who have their own cultures that don't look like your white, hegemonic western culture. If you're concerned about stereotyping Jews then don't stereotype literally everyone else :(

I enjoy this podcast. The hosts read the articles at a relaxing pace, and their commentary is fun… although their voice acting skills could improve a lot. Has the podcast considered reading the Jonathan Blow article? He’s doing some highly innovative work… and has some spicy opinions haha.

The idea of this podcast has a lot of potential but the way these hosts go about it leaves alot to be desired. They add nothing to the topic whatsoever; no thoughts or insights, just a dry read of a Wikipedia article in a tone of voice that sounds robotic and uninterested.
