Jesus Makes It Better (Dare to Dream Big)

This powerful message centers on a transformative truth that can revolutionize our Christian walk: Jesus doesn't just make things a little better—He makes everything much better. Drawing heavily from the book of Hebrews, we're reminded that we have a better covenant with better promises, a better sacrifice, and a better inheritance than anything the Old Testament could offer. The blood of Jesus speaks a better word than Abel's blood, crying out for mercy and forgiveness rather than vengeance.  We're challenged to stop waiting for better days and realize that Jesus IS the better, and today is the day the Lord has made. The message confronts our tendency to focus on past mistakes, present problems, or limited resources, urging us instead to see the seeds of God's abundance and look expectantly toward the harvest. There's a profound call to mature believers to stop thinking their best days are behind them—Moses climbed a mountain at 120 with full strength, and Caleb at 85 declared 'give me my mountain.' We're invited to become more conscious of Christ in us, to walk in our new identity, and to take possession of what God has already given us. The question isn't how old we are, but how long we'll wait to take what God has already provided through His finished work on the cross. Chapters Chapter 1: A Better Covenant with Better Promises 0:00 - 12:31 We explore how Jesus has established a better covenant with better promises, superior to the Old Testament system of animal sacrifices and temporary coverings for sin. Chapter 2: Living in Our New Identity 12:31 - 24:16 We are called to understand and walk in our new identity as new creations in Christ, with our names written in the Lamb's Book of Life and the Holy Spirit dwelling within us. Chapter 3: The Helper and the Power Within 24:16 - 37:20 We examine the role of the Holy Spirit as our Helper who empowers us to live victoriously, emphasizing that God's power is available to all believers regardless of age or background. Chapter 4: Taking Possession of Your Mountain 37:20 - 64:35 We are challenged to stop delaying in taking possession of what Christ has already purchased for us, refusing to let age or circumstances limit our faith and calling. Trusting God (when we don’t understand) - Looking for Hummingbirds, Seeing Cardinals

This message invites us to shift our spiritual perspective from striving to receiving. At its heart is a powerful truth: we often become so fixated on what we're asking God for that we miss the beautiful blessings He's already placed right in front of us. The imagery of watching for hummingbirds while missing the stunning cardinals in the birdbath captures this perfectly. We're challenged to recognize that through Christ, we already possess everything we need for life and godliness. The message explores the profound symbolism of the crimson worm, or 'tola,' from Psalm 22, revealing how this creature's life cycle mirrors Christ's sacrifice. Just as the mother worm clings to a tree, dies to feed her offspring, and releases a crimson stain that eventually turns white as snow, Jesus became our sin so we could be made righteousness. We're reminded that healing, provision, and blessing aren't things we must beg for—they're already ours in Christ. The key is understanding that we're three-part beings: spirit, soul, and body. Our born-again spirit is already complete and perfect, but for that reality to manifest physically, our soul must prosper through renewing our minds with God's Word. This isn't about earning salvation but about walking in the fullness of what's already been accomplished. We're not sick people trying to get healed; we're healed people learning to walk in our healing. Chapters Chapter 1: The Lesson of the Cardinals 0:00 - 7:41 A personal story about expecting hummingbirds but receiving cardinals illustrates how we often miss God's blessings while focusing on what we think we want. Chapter 2: The Crimson Worm: Understanding Christ's Sacrifice 7:41 - 14:28 The Hebrew word 'tola' reveals a profound picture of Christ's sacrifice through the life cycle of the crimson worm that dies to give life to its offspring. Chapter 3: Already Complete in Christ 14:28 - 24:21 We are already complete in Christ with every spiritual blessing, healing, and provision already provided through His finished work on the cross. Chapter 4: Living Inside Out: The Prosperity of the Soul 24:21 - 33:19 For spiritual blessings to manifest physically, our soul must prosper through renewing our minds with God's Word and learning to live by faith rather than sight. Chapter 5: Faith, Prayer, and Forgiveness 33:19 - 40:09 Jesus teaches us to have faith in God, believe we receive when we pray, and always forgive, demonstrating how to walk in the victory that's already ours.Connect With Grace & Truth Church  Website: https://gtchouston.org/ Visit Us Sundays: 10:30 am service (10 am fellowship) 21902 Northwest Freeway Access Rd, Cypress, Texas 77429 (in the VFW Post 8905 small hall - next to Carl's BBQ) Onine Giving https://graceandtruthchurch.churchcenter.com/giving Connect with Pastor William Brocker YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/@willbrockermin Follow on Socials:  https://www.facebook.com/GTCpeople/
