Winterthur is many things. On paper it’s a museum, garden, and library, encompassing 60 acres of world-class naturalistic gardens on 1,000 acres of land. Over 100 buildings sit on this estate, one of which being a 175 room, 9 story historic home. Winterthur is an independent research library, and one of the most prominent collections of American decorative arts in the world. However, Winterthur has many more stories to tell than just a staid series of facts.
