Wisdom can be gained through personal experiences or it can be learned from others who have gone before you on this journey of life. Life is too short to learn everything from experience but when the application of knowledge is passed down from those who have gone before, a richness emerges that is not possible when one does it alone. We hope the Wisdom Catchers podcast helps you apply truth to your life as you pass along to others what you have learned.

A Life-Long Perspective (John and Barbara Myers)

A Life-Long Perspective (John and Barbara Myers)

We obtain wisdom from two primary sources: our own experience and the experience of others.  Sometimes we learn what to do and sometimes we learn what not to do.  As we gain wisdom from those who have gone before us, it is especially good to learn from those who are nearing the end of the journey so we can receive a perspective that few of us have as life culminates in so many ways.  Today we hear from John and Barbara Myers who have been married over 68 years and have served their church and community in so many ways.  They have two daughters and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Budgeting is not a bad word; it leads your family to freedom.   Von and Teri continue the Walking in Financial Freedom series discussing the importance of intentionality in your money decisions.  They discuss aligning personal or family values in creating budgets that stick.  Scripture instructs us to have a plan for money, lest it disappears as quickly as it is received.  Getting a budget started is usually the most challenging first step. They offer suggestions for removing low-hanging fruit in developing priority areas in your financial plan
