Dr. Manon, is a Naturopathic Medical Doctor and CEO of Bowen College where she has trained over 2500 healthcare practitioners in her methodology. Dr. M (Manon Bolliger), helps people take ownership of their choices in health. The best-selling author of “What Patients Don’t Say if Doctors Don’t Ask”, she helps people release chronic physical and emotional pain by helping them focus on their “health-nosis” and not their diagnosis. She has spoken on international stages like JTFoxx’s Money, Health, and Business, TEDx in Las Vegas, she is the host of The Healer’s Cafe podcast and has appeared on ABC, CTV and NBC.  While overcoming stage 4 CA without pharmaceutical or a hysterectomy, she discovered that we are accustomed to thinking that conflict resolution is mediated externally. But when it comes to health, it is an internal process. She has pioneered the ‘A Healer in Every Household’ Movement embracing the body’s capacity to heal and the choice to govern our lives. Her new book “A Healer in Every Household: Simple Solutions for Stress” has just been launched in October 2020.

    With Dr. E Episode 19, Palliative Care vs. Hospice Care, Dr. Fran Hoh

    In this episode, Dr. Hoh will be answering the following questions. 1. Why does she focus on palliative care?  2. She will tell us the difference between hospice and palliative care 3. Who is appropriate for palliative care? 4. How does palliative care benefit the individual? 5. What are some of the resources for patients who would need palliative care? Dr. Fran Hoh has been a Registered Nurse for 4 decades on a mission to help people recover from illness.  She is passionate about lifelong learning and completed a diploma, Bachelors, and Master’s degree in Nursing and a PHD in Health Administration. She is equally as passionate about teaching and has been known as the “tell it like it is” presenter.  She is known for excellence by her peers as demonstrated by being awarded the Nurse Excellence Award from Overlook Medical Center in 2006 for developing a 3 Day Pain Resource course and trained hundreds of nurses to be resources for better pain management.  She has done full day programs across the country on topics of pain management and end of life care and is board certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse in Hospice and Palliative Care.  Her book Pain Medications and You was published as a guide for patients to better understand how to manage pain.  She was awarded the Clinical Practice Award in 2010 and the Geriatric Nurse Exemplar Award in 2015 by the American Society of Pain Management Nursing. In 2009 Dr. Hoh combined her knowledge, vision, Can Do attitude, and skills to launch her own practice called Always Think Comfort, which provided pain and palliative care consults at over 30 long term care facilities in NJ. Her goal was to provide support to families who are living in the last season of a family member’s life. In 2020 she again received the Nurse Excellence Award in Inter-professional Collaboration for her work during the Covid pandemic. During the Covid pandemic she fiercely advocated for IPADS, family visits, and aggressive symptom management for those who were dying of the Corona virus. Last year she established Palliative Rx which provides online courses for patients and families suffering with chronic illness.

    Dr Hokehe Effiong, Board-Certified Pediatrician, Certified Brain Health/ADHD Consultant helps parents of children diagnosed with ADHD, who are frustrated and worried about their child’s behavior and are ready to partner with their child to get to the root cause of the behaviors, to heal and flourish in mind and body using brain health strategies and functional medicine. She is the CEO of ADHD Practical Solutions, with a mission to help 1 million children with ADHD accomplish their big dreams, She is also the CEO of Kits of Hope, a 501 (3) organization dedicated to inspiring communities to share love, hope, and dignity with children in the foster care system.   After being injured in two car accidents, labeled as average, and told it was impossible for her to fulfil her dream of becoming a pediatrician, she uses her experience with developing resilience and thriving in the face of obstacles to help children diagnosed with ADHD and Children in Foster Care see themselves as who they truly are: fiercely courageous and capable of fulfilling their dreams. She has spoken to the United Nations Youth Program, Ghana on the Effects of Adverse Childhood Experiences, and has been on multiple podcasts and summits such as the Healthy Fit and Uplifted webinar as keynote speaker, Doctors unbound, the On-air Advocate, Motherhood, Melanin and motherhood. She has also hosted a summit for foster parents. She is on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Pediatrics Oklahoma Chapter.
