Mike Williams on Producing Great Work Consistently
Mike Williams is a speaker, author, executive, and coach who helps leaders obtain small wins with a big impact on their lives and businesses. He gives people the actionable tools to succeed on their terms with less effort AND be at the top of their game in all areas of life. Through his leadership roles with General Electric, The David Allen Company, and Zappos, Mike kept noticing that people were desperate for a better path to productivity to help them fight digital distractions, mind clutter, and wasteful uses of their time. But the only resources available involved complex approaches, reading thick self-help books, or participating in boring seminars. He knew a better way existed—one rooted in simplicity and realism. So in his pursuit, he spent two decades working with thousands of people across different industries--from rocket scientists to students to nonprofit organizations. Today, Mike assists clients using an effective coaching methodology that’s far from complicated. He also used what works to create Doing to Done—Productivity Made Simple, Illustrated for Busy People Like Us, a visually engaging book about quick wins with significant impacts. Bringing a bit of Southern California energy to his work, he firmly believes that managing stress through better productivity shouldn’t be so stressful.

Dr. Brian Glibkowski: How to Leverage Answers to have more Influence & Impact
Dr. Brian Glibkowski is an author and researcher passionate about the role of questions and answers in business and society. His journey started with his research on questions. He authored an article on questions that has been recognized by the Association of Human Resource Development as one of ten articles that will shape the 21st century. During his research on questions, one simple observation stopped him in his tracks. We know a lot about questions. We know very little about answers. In grade school we teach children about questions, not answers. Our children learn about the six wh-questions (why, what when, where, who, how) and they learn about open and closed questions. There is no typology of answers we teach our children. Journalists, physicians, sales reps, executive coaches, and almost all professionals are trained in questions, not answers. Business books with question in the title outnumber books with answer in the title 3 to 1. His new book Answer Intelligence: Raise Your AQ is nominated for a 2022 PROSE award which celebrates landmark works in professional and scholarly publishing.

This is a sit down episode
SO many great takeaways I had to sit down in order to take notes. Most podcasts I can listen to while doing other tasks. This one made me stop so I could capture as much as possible.
Thank you Jon and Alan for great questions and inspiring answers. I'm reviewing and evaluating my choices and systems.
