As in Aunt Petunia has many layers?
1 Fiercely and over protective mother of Dudley?
2 One of the characters who treated Harry horribly.
3 Cared for Harry only out of necessity but not quite necessity?
- Then again, the level of societal standard that the Dursley’s held themselves to would not have necessarily looked good if they simply ignored a family member left on their doorstep in the dead of night. What would the neighbors have said?
If you count Cursed Child as canonical, Petunia I think mellowed over the years after the final book. Also reading the books, I felt like that at certain times Petunia was feeding off of Vernon’s hatred of Harry.
I always felt that she wasn’t a 100% strong backboned character. She had in her youth attempted to get into Hogwarts by writing a letter begging for them to let her attend. I feel she always harbored a grudge against wizards although I am positive she never told Vernon she wanted to go to Hogwarts when she was young.
What do all the abbreviated titles after Dumbledore’s name stand for?
Grand Sor. -> Grand Sorcerer
D. Wiz. -> ?
X.J. (sorcerer) -> ?
S. of Mag. Q -> ?
Does anyone know what the ? marked ones are? I can’t find it anywhere. Please help me out.

“The mind is not a book, to be opened at will and examined at leisure. Thoughts are not etched on the inside of skulls, to be perused by any invader. The mind is a complex and many-layered thing... It is true, however, that those who have mastered Legilimency are able, under certain conditions, to delve into the minds of their victims and to interpret their findings correctly."
