We are a daily podcast that talks about Role-Playing games, books, and zines. We get into old school and indy games. We love a lot of what gets classified as OSR and NSR and anything innovative and new in gaming, especially independent creators. We try to talk to an indy creator at least once a week right now and try to talk about at least one zine a week. We play C&C, S&W, Cairn, Naive, AS&SH, Mothership, OSE, Palladium, Year Zero Engine games and much more. Everyone has their slant and we are always Anti-Fascist, I'm sticking with the union. Amazing ttrpg podcast
Logar approaches all topics with such authentic enthusiasm and interest that as a listener you can’t help but be stoked with him.
Pair that with his knowledge base and search for new ideas and creators and you have the perfect 12-25 min podcast.
Shoehorned politics
Up until now I’ve generally put up with the silly lefty politics and bad economics takes because it was otherwise a pretty listenable RPG podcast. But this last episode (12/29/22) was just him reading an obnoxious anti-male screed. It had nothing to do with gaming at all. Just start a politics podcast and keep this nonsense over there. The content isn’t good enough to put up with being lectured to.
Great, Fun, Original
Logar’s podcast “Wobblies & Wizards” is one of the best podcasts for old school-focused, rules-lite type of tabletop roleplaying games. Relatively short (approximately 15 minutes each), each episode explores a different topic: some are interviews with gaming folks (I was on the show a couple of times myself), some are with game designers, while others are about different games themselves, or some episodes delve into rules, options, house rules, mechanics, and even classic dragon magazine articles!
Logar as host is great to listen to; easy to understand, down to earth, he’s charming and engaged and has the enthusiasm of a child for so many different products — a huge plus I think that makes listening to his podcast that much better.
Definitely check it out, recommend it to friends, and be sure to like, subscribe, and post a review of your own!
