The Journal of Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing (JWOCN®) offers free access to “Getting Ready for Certification” articles for wound, ostomy, continence, and foot care. Jessica Simmons MSN, APN, FNP-C, CWON, DNC is the WOCNCB Board Liaison to the JWOCN and shares how these articles can be used as an exam prep tool along with some basic studying tips. These articles are an excellent resource to help prepare for WOCNCB exams and are free open access articles available on the JWOCN® online site.

A Day in a Life of a CWOCN® in an Oncology Ostomy Outpatient Clinic
Star was a nurse for critical care and trauma in Acute Care before becoming a Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse in 2008. She remained in Acute Care until 2018, when she was given the opportunity to start an Outpatient Clinic at UC San Diego Health Moores Cancer Center specifically focusing on Ostomy patients.
