Sojourner Truth: The first black woman to win a case against a white man
In perhaps our most important episode to date, we take a brief break from our series on Anne Boleyn to break down the incredible life of abolitionist, Sojourner Truth. After escaping slavery in 1826, Sojourner dedicated her life to abolitionism, justice, and freedom for all. From becoming the first black woman to win a case against a white man in 1828, to giving the iconic "Ain't I a Woman?" speech, and even holding an audience with President Abraham Lincoln, Sojourner's life was dedicated to fighting for equal rights for all.

Informative and cool!
A lot of the time it can feel like history podcasts are just regurgitating info they looked up to make an episode. Not these two! They not only hit you with interesting facts about whatever woman they are highlighting this week, they also do it in a way where they sprinkle in layers of their own personalities. As a listener, I love learning a little about them and the subject! This show has an excellent flow and a left it a little smarter. Thanks ladies!
