Women In... Episode 138: Meghan Waldron - How Do You Balance Motherhood, Teaching, Entrepreneurship, and MS While Building a Fulfilled Life?

Meghan Waldron is an educator, small business owner, and the proud mom of three sons and two stepsons. While raising her boys largely on her own, Meghan often questioned whether she had what it took to guide them into becoming strong, kind men. Now, as they enter their teen and young adult years, she has her answer. Despite the hardship of their father’s struggle with drug and alcohol addiction, her sons learned self-reliance, self-care, and the power of family, even when that family looked different from others around them. Professionally, Meghan has spent more than twenty years teaching students how to share their stories. She is a firm believer in the healing power of writing, reflection, and reclaiming one’s own narrative. Meghan is the owner of Smart Solutions Tutoring, which she founded in 2007, and she is excited to launch the U.S. Hub of Women in Change in January 2026. This London-based network brings together women across sectors to promote leadership, innovation, and structured risk-taking. Meghan is eager to lean into her teaching roots to support women as they step into their voices and leadership. As a mom raising sons largely on your own, there was a moment you wondered if you were doing it “right.” When did you realize you actually had your answer? Your family didn’t look like many others on your suburban block. How did navigating addiction, difference, and resilience shape the values your sons carry today? You’ve spent over twenty years teaching people to tell their stories. Why do you believe writing and reflection are such powerful tools for healing and reclaiming identity? You’re launching the U.S. Hub of Women in Change in 2026. What gap did you see for women that made you feel called to build this, and why now? For women listening who are in the middle of hard seasons, parenting, career pivots, or self-doubt, what do you want them to know about their capacity to lead and redefine their own narrative?
