We are a network of women from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland with one main focus: to defend the sex-based rights of women.We are not aligned to any political party - we are women of all political persuasions and none.  Our position is "Respect My Sex" - we support candidates who understand the rights and needs of women, regardless of party. WRN has around 60 geographical groups, with more than 1200 members. Our members are of all ages, sexual orientation, races, disability, employment status and socio-economic backgrounds. Some of us are parents and/or carers. We have differing religious beliefs. But, we are all committed to free speech and to putting the sex based needs of women and girls first.And we are all women - adult human females.  Our groups offer a safe space to talk freely and compassionately. We provide support to one another and campaign for evidence-based solutions to stop the erasure of our sex-based rights. Join Us! Kathleen joined our afternoon panel at the Derby Women’s Festival in May 2026 - an event organised by the Women’s Rights Network Derby and Staffordshire group. Kathleen chaired our morning session - Mother - and gave a speech in our afternoon session on the Child with her talk Abolishing child abuse: building a politics of love through I-you attachment.     Send us Fan Mail Heather Binning is joined by two of the Darlington Nurses - lead claimant Bethany Hutchison and Lisa Lockey. In 2023, eight nurses from the Day Surgery Unit at Darlington Memorial Hospital filed a discrimination claim against County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust for for sexual harassment and sex discrimination. Female staff were forced to share their female changing room with Rose Henderson, a male member of staff.  Henderson was described by the tribunal as "a biological male who identifies as female and has the protected characteristic of gender reassignment". The Employment Tribunal ruled that the NHS unlawfully discriminated against and harassed the nurses by requiring them to share female-only changing rooms with a male member of staff, and confirmed that the Trust's policy allowing men into women's spaces was unlawful and violated the rights of female staff. Bethany and Lisa speak candidly about what drove them to take action and the underhand tactics deployed by management before and during the tribunal. Hear first-hand accounts of the highs and lows of their legal battle and how some colleagues, through fear or pressure, have distanced themselves from the women.     Send us Fan Mail We met Sorcha Nic Lochlainn of The Countess at the Derby Women’s Festival in May 2026 - an event organised by the Women’s Rights Network Derby and Staffordshire group. The Countess is a non-profit, volunteer-led organisation formed to promote the rights and interests of women and children in Ireland. Sorcha was with us to discuss the importance of language with her talk, ‘These words belong to us: why language matters'. She described her day at the Festival as  “brilliant”  with the opportunity to debate issues throughout the day with the audience and fellow speakers.  She joined the morning panel with Lexi Ellingsworth from Stop Surrogacy Now and Ruth Lewis from MoMa Breastfeeding.
