Still Wordstruck

Thank you for the shout out! ☺️ - 11/18/17

Still listening. I thought the podcast was going to be different books like a book club but it seems it's turning into a Harry Potter book club. I love Harry Potter but was just hoping for other books. I'm sticking with you but now I'm just listening instead of reading which was part of the fun. - 05/07/17

Still listening. And loving the show. Great analysis and conversation. - 08/27/16

I've been waiting for years for this kind of podcast. How can you recap and entire book in a month like a regular book club? This is how it should be done. Already reading the Sorcerer's Stone with the Real Weird Sister's so the timing is perfect! You have a new fan. Well done. - 05/21/16

Season 3 and it's still my favorite

I love listening to this podcast. It is literally the only one I listen to right when it comes out.

I have been a longtime fan of Harry Potter (Wordstruck seasons 1, 2 and 3) and a longer fan of reading. Clark and Alyssa are the perfect way to reengage with favorite stories. Clark so far hasn't read the books (or watched to movies) and is the best of sports as he bravely and hilariously spouts any and all theories that come to his mind. Alyssa is sweet and charming and carefully leads Clark through each chapter with thoughtful questions and engaging explanations that deepen my understanding of the story (like considering the intricacies of wizard politics - one of my favorite tangents).

These two are good friends with great chemistry and are 100 percent worth giving a listen.

Humor and Magic

Since I was in high school, when the Deathly Hollows was published, I've wanted to recapture the magic of experiencing the Harry Potter universe for the first time. Experiencing the reactions and predicitons of a first time reader like Clark goes a long way toward accomplishing that goal. Clark sees the books through the eyes of a first time reader, even if he approaches it with a little more incredulity than I did at the age of 10. And Alyssa makes the perfect guide through the Harry Potter universe. Excited to see where this podcast goes with future books, and what happens with all of Clark's predictions.
