Working at Woodworking

Came across this somehow and I have not stopped listening since I found it. Roger keeps it simple and explains things in ways you can truly understand. Awesome listening!

I came across Roger during my educational pursuit to learn more about starting and running a small woodworking business. There’s only one other podcast I have come across that bills itself as woodworking business podcast. I have listened to them all, but that other podcast have shifted into a really long commercial to sell their products for scaling your business. At first blush it looks like there’s meat on that bun, but like most fast food burgers it’s obstructed by the toppings. Roger, however, delivers something completely different. He provides advice, much of which could be sold through a product. However, Roger gives away most of the secrets and pearls of wisdom on every episode. He does offer coaching, but it’s never forced down your throat and I suspect it’s more of a conversation that has far more value than the really low cost he charges. So. give Roger a listen and buy him a coffee or two.

Roger does an excellent job of providing the pertinent information with his “real world” insight all the while making it so much fun to listen to. I’ve learned so much from Roger starting my own business as well as what reasonable expectations may look like and how to prepare for the ups & downs. Please keep going sir!

Such a great podcast that is both informative and motivational. Straightforward stuff without all the rambling tangents of many other panel woodworking shows.
