A gift podcast for the members of the World Class Rookies Fantasy Football League! Each week Comissioner David Odell and his co-host Cody Stauffer will roast and toast the performance of the league from the week prior. Together they will recap matchups, critique roster moves, offer unsolicited (but always helpful) advice, and respond to league submitted questions and opinions. Episodes will include previews of the upcoming week, plus David and Cody will go head-to-head on weekly predictions. Knowing them, they'll also go toe-to-toe over hot takes as well.

    Episode 036 AKA The Last Days of a Dynasty?

    On this episode, David and Cody are joined by World Class Rookie manager Shane Moore (current team name: What Can Brown Do For You?) Cody takes a moment to run some more victory laps over his historic championship season in the first (and only?) year of World Class Rookies Dynasty League. The trio discuss the current unknown status of the league. Is it cooked for good? Will it continue in another form? Several options are discussed. JUST IN CASE there is more dynasty fantasy football to come, the hosts hold a mock draft on air to showcase the first round offerings and what each team could expect to land with a first pick. Shane offers up some data on Team Power Rankings for Dynasty, and the episode closes with Cody learning how little David really knows about Cody's family. As always, thanks for listening!     Episode 035 AKA All Hail the Dynasty King

    Surprise, Rookies! David and Cody are BACK and bringing you a post-season wrap up episode! David kicks off the show by welcoming the NEWEST (and some are saying GREATEST) champion to the table of World Class Rookies champion, CODY STAUFFER HIMSELF. Cody, David, and special guest Jake Cederwall do a little catching up, and then discuss some of the reasons why Cody had such a dominating season. The trio also discuss the surprising fourth place finish of the Catfishers, who were the pre-season favorites to win it all. Commissioner CeeDee shares some of the important upcoming dates, and all three give some tips on how to handle the offseason, and what to expect at the first Rookie draft of the Dynasty format.     Episode 034 AKA This One Deserves a Nobel Peace Prize

    This week's epsiode is GROUNDBREAKING! David and Cody host none other than Tahj Bomar, AKA The Catfishers, AKA "I'm 1-2 in the Hamburger Helper Bowl." Since this is the week of the PREMIER rivalry in the World Class Rookies, of course Tahj is on, and of course Cody and Tahj rehash a little Hamburger Helper Bowl history. Tahj first offers up some biographical information-- including what his middle name is! -- before Cody pulls out a TWIST! Normally, Cody hosts a trivia face-off between David and the guest; but on this episode Cody points out that, while he and Tahj have the best rivalry in the league with The Hamburger Helper Bowl, it feels as though David and Tahj have a bitter rivalry, one in need of some resolution. It's here that Cody reveals A SECOND SPECIAL GUEST, one with a background in relationship counseling and conflict resolution. Using his lazer-like insight, the guest soon has David and Tahj reconnecting. Wounds, healed. Bridges, repaired. Relationship, restored. This episode definitely deserves a Nobel Peace Prize. Oh, and of course Tahj and Cody go head-to-head in a weekly pick 'em, where Cody remains undefeated.     Episode 033 AKA This One's Out of This World

    On this week's episode, the fellas are joined by league member Tyson Tucker! Cody kicks off the episode with a quick discussion about Halloween candy, followed by a quick introduciton and bio from Tyson. David and Tyson go head to head in a trivia showdown, featuring questions about space, sci-fi movies, and Tennessee vs. Oregon history. Keep track of how many you get right to find out if you would have topped this week's winner! Then Cody and Tyson face-off in a little league pick 'em action, before the episode wraps up with Tyson and David trading some SEC vs. PAC barbs (all in good fun, of course!)     Episode 032 AKA Annie's Version

    On this week's episode of WCW David and Cody are joined by special guest, Annie Layton, aka Sneaky Petes. Annie gives a little biography, talks about her experience with fantasy football and how she's liking dynasty football so far, plus registers her complaint about the Matchup against the Median format. Annie gets put to the test on her Taylor Swift knowledge in a head-to-head matchup against David in a Swiftie Trivia contest. And while the final result might not surprise you, perhaps how CLOSE of a contest it was might! David wraps up the episode by pitting Cody and Annie against each in a pick 'em battle and a Hard Pass, Full Glass contest (Cody remains undefeated until David finally tabulates the results from previous weeks).     Episode 031 AKA Who's the Luckiest of Us All?

    On this week's episode, David and Cody talk a bit about the previous week's matchups, diving into the Weekly Report that Sleeper generates. David defends his statements about Tahj and his luck, which turns into a conversation about just how much luck really is involved in fantasy sports. The two take a look at the state of the league at roughly the halfway point of the season, weighing in on who has a shot at capturing the three at large playoff berths, discussing which division has the best chance at sending more than one team to the postseason (spoiler alert: it's Can't Lose, obviously). Cody and David issue an open invitation for Annie, Mike, and Tyson SPECIFICALLY to join them on the podcast, and a more general invitation to everyone. On to business-- this week we are joined by a special guest Jake Loden, aka The Townie, aka Your Go To Man For PNW Real Estate needs, aka The People's Champ BILLY RIGGINS. Jake talks shop about the landscape changing trade between his team and the Fighting Amish-- what was happening behind the scenes and the thought process involved, and all three discuss some ramifications for the league. Next they tackle some head-to-head quick picks, discuss some specifics on each matchup, and David and Cody wrap it all up by talking a little bit about what next year's draft class could look like, which leads to the creation of a future segment of the show where we discuss some upcoming rookies in future years.     Folks! This episode is about a week late. Oops! -- it was recorded last week before several big trades, and before any of the week's real life football action took place. But we're going to post it ANYWAY because it's interesting to hear some of the predictions for matchup results AND the trade advice Cody and David offer up with the ability to look BACK with what we know now. David and Cody do indeed talk trade advice, make predictions for the matchups, AND give one important college game day predition as well! Also, I (Cody) know that none of you read this part anyway.
