This is both an incredibly well told version of time travel and wonderfully accessible in terms of sci-fi. Each chapter is concise yet brilliantly written, so each is very digestible. Rufus also provides prefaces that give us the audience a lovely insight to his processes, both in the writing and in the science. This is one of the most enjoyable podcasts I’ve ever listened to. You will feel welcome and charmed at every turn.

Behind the scenes is always cool, and in this podcast you hear an author bring a new novel into existence. We were along for the ride with Rufus as he writes each new chapter of a time travel story. The conceit is that up front he warns that he may go back “in time” to early chapters to make changes, so there’s a meta level to the whole process. Chapters are short and punchy, and Rufus’s commentary about the process is lots of fun.
