First musical memories part 1 what a trip!
Feb 1
Love the show, but this episode got me thinking about my first musical memory. Can’t say this was the very first, but I remember sitting at the board in Wizard Sound Studios in NY watching Ian Hunter recording That Girl Is Rock And Roll, maybe 1982. I was probably 9 or 10. My dad worked with Eddie Kramer, who might have been working this session, as a piano tuner for the studio. Dad had a piano repair/refurb business back then. So that was probably my very first musical memory- the sounds of him tuning a piano. He had a particular repertoire of scales and chord progressions to get the tuning just right. If you ask me, the Ian Hunter song isn’t great, but it sure left an impression and the session blew out my ears, but this way before the days of hearing protection for little kids. Thanks for the trip down memory lane and for always putting out great episodes, QLS!
Let the guests speak plz

Love the guests and the musical history shared on QLS but there's just too many people chiming in and Quest, we know you're an encyclopedia of music, but let the people who were actually there tell their own story without interrupting them or trying to guess everything. thx
Great podcast!

I’ve enjoyed every episode and have learned so much. The conversations are interesting, thoughtful and flow really naturally. I’d love to hear an episode with Hamid Drake as guest - I’m not sure how to suggest that so putting it here. He’s an amazing artist and has great insights.
Why are the ads so loud?

Great podcast but why are the ads so loud? You have to increase the volume to hear the interviews and then turn it down when the ads come on or else they’re startlingly loud. Definitely takes away from enjoying the show
