Tonie Smith debuted in Real Estate as a Sales Agent then quickly transitioned to the role of advisor and client relationship manager, assisting the brokerage with development of bi-lingual service options for its diverse customer base. She developed a knack for defining processes to increase client satisfaction and improve productivity, and Tonie held on to those objectives throughout her career. From managing small teams to working as a franchise sales consultant for Fortune 500 companies, her commitment was to assist businesses to operate more efficiently, effectively, and profitably.

Then, while prepping for the home inspector exam, Tonie discovered her passion for drones and started TS Aerial Media with a goal to build a bridge between this booming technology and the Real Estate and Property Management industries. In 2019 she left her role in Real Estate management to promote drone tech adoption and education in a variety of industries in need.  In addition to expanding her client base for drone services and education, she also actively supports Women & Drones, is a member of the San Diego FAAST Safety Team, and supports the multiple Police Department Drone First Responder (DFR) programs as the Recruiting and Training Manager for Flying Lion, Inc.

Peter H. Schmidt, Co-Founder and COO of Transcend Air, is an entrepreneur and executive with startup, turn-around, and large enterprise experience. Schmidt’s aviation roles have included sUAS test pilot, with two first flights; President & COO of Linear Air, Eclipse 500 operator and Part 135 online charter marketplace; COO of Jet Advisors, a business aviation consultancy; and SVP of National Aviation Academy, the second largest Part 147 aviation mechanic school in the U.S. In his pre-aviation career, Schmidt led several networking and embedded systems companies, including as CTO North America for Ipanema Technologies, CEO of Echo Engineering, Division Manager of Teradyne, and Co-Founder and President of Midnight Networks. An aerobatic pilot, Schmidt did his undergrad in computer science and his masters degree in management, both at MIT. He currently serves as Chair of the Electric Flight Test Committee of the E-VTOL Flight Test Council.

Earl McDowell, Jr. is currently an Account Manager for Esri's Local Government Team out of the St. Louis Esri Regional Office.

With over 20 years of experience in a variety of geospatial, analytic, and urban planning capacities, he has worked full-time in all levels of government from local to federal.  Earl has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.

He was also the founder and principal of GeoGraph, LLC, a company that specialized in GIS and Urban Planning.


Earl has served on several local boards throughout the years and has participated in dozens of community volunteer efforts on behalf of his fraternity, Kappa Alpha Psi.

He is married to Dotti McDowell and they're the proud parents of one daughter, Deja McDowell, who is a graduating senior at Jackson State University in Jackson MS.
