Wow— Gravy sure does sound handsome.
The podcast is fine or whatever but wow. Can I just say, that Canon guy just sounds like someone who would be extremely attractive. I mean, someone I’d have dinner with, or at least a coffee or two— and then we’d slowly fall in love before realizing that we have diverging life paths, and that the final vestiges of our love will remain as a constant reminder of what could have been. And then one day, we’d both be at the airport, and we’d catch each other’s eye. We don’t say anything, but glance surreptitiously at each other’s outstretched boarding passes. Different flights. Canon would go one way, and I’d go another. It would only be then that I’d finally come to accept that we could have never been. I’d move on. He wouldn’t. He’d track me down, and one night, open the door, his overcoat dripping with rainwater. He’d look frantically around behind me as I opened the door in feigned surprise. The pictures on the wall— my husband. My children. He’d open his mouth to speak, but I’d fix him with a somber gaze and he’d understand. It was too late. We just never quite got our timing right. Maybe in another life. Maybe.
