Sailing Into Your Second Half: Steering July Toward Your Direction, Dreams, and Definitions of Success

July is the midpoint of the year, which makes it the perfect time to pause for reflection on how far you’ve already come and look forward to where you are headed. In this week’s episode, I share the thought process that guides me in creating these episodes for you and how that process ties into how you can take advantage of one of the most powerful concepts we can use to achieve our goals.  Coming in fresh from volunteering for the historic Race to Mackinac, I use sailing across Lake Michigan as the framework for how July is a port-of-call within the calendar year, making it the perfect time to reassess your direction, dreams, and definitions of success.  I’ll also share that course correction, including a shifting of goals, can lead to unexpected wins and deeper alignment.  Most importantly, this episode is your reminder that changing your path isn’t failure; it’s freedom. Consider this your invitation to chart a new course for the second half of the year and get the support you need to sail confidently toward your destination. The Man Who Chose Me: Lessons From My Adopted Dad That Built My Life

This past week was both Father’s Day and the anniversary of my adopted dad’s passing, so in this week’s episode, I honor the role he played in my life.  Listen as I share how his unconditional love was part of my life’s foundation which allowed me to go from being a 17-year old runaway to the woman I am today, living a thriving life that I love.  I’ll share three of the many important life lessons he taught me, how they influence my work as a coach and speaker today, along with tips for how to put those lessons to work in your own life as well.  If you’ve ever wrestled with loss, grief, or navigating complicated family relationships, this is the episode you simply can’t miss.  Ready to shift your own narratives and work with a coach who intimately understands the value of being seen and understood? The Habit of Doing Nothing: A Simple Practice to Protect Your Well‑Being

Join me in this episode as I explore why “doing nothing” isn’t a sign of laziness but a powerful habit that protects your mental health and helps you avoid burnout. I reflect on my own long‑standing belief in intentional stillness, which I’ve encouraged in my coaching and throughout the show, while breaking down the work of writer and professional idler Tom Hodgkinson - which was highlighted on a recent episode of Dr. Laurie Santos’ The Happiness Lab.  Together, these insights invite listeners to rethink their relationship with downtime and embrace idleness as a life‑giving practice. If you’ve been running on empty, this episode offers a gentle reminder that sometimes the most productive thing you can do is pause.  Ready to shift your own narratives?  Book your free 30‑minute strategy session designed to meet you exactly where you are and take that first step towards your Next. The Finish Line Isn’t Perfection: What My Spring Trail Race Revealed About Success

In this week’s episode, I’m recapping my first 10K race of the year and sharing the lessons it reminded me of when thinking about redefining success. Even though nothing about this race went according to plan, it was a powerful reminder that success isn’t perfection, it’s perseverance.  I’ll share how the events of my race day can be applied to the goals in your life and what that means for you, especially if you’re a neurodivergent adult, deep creative, or anyone navigating a season of overwhelm.  If you’ve been feeling behind, discouraged, or even stuck at your own “mile 3,” this episode offers a mindset reset and practical encouragement to keep going. Success happens when you honor your capacity and work in a way that honors you. When Curiosity Leads the Way: The Real Reason Some People Thrive and Others Stay Stuck

Curiosity isn’t just a personality trait; it’s a necessary element for any true life transformation.  In today's episode, I dive into what curiosity is, and how it can empower us to get what we want for our lives.  I’ll share how my role as a speaker and event host, along with discovering the work of Dr. Laurie Santos of Yale University, has led me back to one powerful truth: curious people thrive because they refuse to accept the narratives handed to them. Together we’ll explore how asking better questions opens the door to our ability to identify and define our personal version of success, one that aligns with our values and how we want to live our lives.   This episode invites you to challenge the status quo, rethink what success means to you, and open up for more curiosity in your life. If you’re ready to stop feeling stuck and start exploring what’s possible, this conversation is your starting point.  Ready to shift your own narrative?  Book your free 30‑minute strategy session designed to meet you exactly where you are and take that first step towards your Next. Running Into the Wind: Resilience, Reflection, and Autism Acceptance

In this episode, I open with the story of my first running race of the year, and the lessons that showed up for me between the gusts of wind and the shifting course. I talk about what it means to start strong, slow down, and still honor your pace, especially when you’re rebuilding. This race becomes a metaphor for consistency, self-compassion, and returning to goals that once felt out of reach.  From there, I shift into this week’s discussion honoring Autism Acceptance Month and share what the actually autistic community wants you to know, drawing from my years of living, teaching, and coaching within neurodivergent communities. I also highlight how you can amplify autistic voices, explain who ASAN is, along with why many in the adult autistic community feel better represented by them versus Autism Speaks.  Whether you’re navigating a new diagnosis, setting personal goals, or learning how to be a better ally, this episode invites you to reflect, grow, and keep showing up - wind and all.  Are you ready for personalized support? Book your free 30‑minute strategy session designed to meet you exactly where you are.
