Four Months of Sacrifice Doesn't Guarantee a Championship | TBA Classic

12 fighters. 14 fights. 4 belts. After four months of fight camp, Wolf Pack Combat Academy stepped into the 2026 TBA Muay Thai Classic. But this episode is about much more than championships, wins, and losses.I talk about leading without having all the answers, changing game plans during fights, questioning myself after a brutal run of losses, and pulling myself back together because more fighters still needed me. I also share the story of a 10-year-old fighter who lost his fight but showed more heart than most adults, and a 12-year-old champion who discovered that everything he needed was already inside him.Being a fighter can be selfish. Being a coach requires you to become selfless. Four months of sacrifice does not guarantee a championship. It only gives you an opportunity to knock on the door. The real victory is the confidence, discipline, faith, and identity you build while chasing it. Everything is within. You control you.If this episode speaks to you, like, subscribe, and tell me in the comments: What has losing taught you that winning never could?Chapters:0:00 A 10-Year-Old’s Incredible Heart1:36 Starting With Gratitude2:22 12 Fighters, 14 Fights, 4 Belts4:11 Four Months of Fight Camp7:27 Leading Without All the Answers10:15 Fighting Is Selfish, Coaching Is Selfless10:54 The 10-Year-Old Who Wouldn’t Quit20:50 Training Gives You an Opportunity23:20 Stories From the Fighters31:20 Doubting Myself After the Losses36:00 Growth Bigger Than Championships37:55 Everything You Need Is Inside You41:19 Show Up and Do the Work42:35 You Control YouLinktree - https://linktr.ee/YouControlYou

Why You Feel Like You’re Failing (Even When You’re Not)

Most men quietly battle a persistent fear of failure that keeps them up at night. Learn how to address the weight of expectations and stop doubting your own progress. It is common to feel like you are falling behind in life, especially when the lines between business success and family responsibilities blur. This conversation strips away the performance of masculinity to look directly at the internal panic that comes with constant self-evaluation. If you find yourself obsessively questioning if you are doing enough, you are not alone in that exhaustion. This video provides a space to confront the root of male anxiety without the pressure to just power through it.We examine why high-achieving men often experience imposter syndrome and how that narrative of not being enough distorts reality. By naming these intrusive thoughts, you can begin to separate your actual worth from your output. The goal is to move past the cycle of worry and start finding contentment in the work you are already doing. Real mental clarity starts when you stop running from the fear of failure and start understanding it.Subscribe for weekly insights on mens mental health and personal growth. Your Reputation Means Nothing When You’re Alone—Don’t Learn This Too Late

Self improvement is not only about building a successful business, making more money, or earning recognition. Real self improvement is about building your character, developing self discipline, strengthening your relationships, and becoming someone you are proud to see in the mirror. In this episode of the You Control You Podcast, Mark ShaH Evans explores personal growth, leadership, purpose, discipline, family, and the danger of becoming so focused on success that you forget why you started.Life is like a chessboard, but we do not all begin the game with the same pieces. Some people inherit confidence, stability, mentors, money, and opportunities. Others must build those pieces through adversity, accountability, hard work, and consistent personal development. You may believe you are building a business, a career, a reputation, or an empire. In reality, you are building yourself.A true success mindset is not only about winning. It is about building character, emotional intelligence, discipline, strong relationships, a meaningful purpose, and a life that serves the people you love. The building is not the dream. The money is not the dream. The reputation is not the dream. The people you serve, the family you return home to, and the person you become along the journey are the real dream.Never become so consumed with chasing success that you lose the life you were working to create. One choice at a time. One move at a time. One day at a time.Subscribe to the You Control You Podcast for conversations about self improvement, personal growth, motivation, leadership, discipline, relationships, faith, entrepreneurship, and becoming the strongest version of yourself. You Control You.#SelfImprovement #PersonalGrowth #SuccessMindset0:00 What Are You Really Building?1:39 Gratitude and the Wolf Pack Grand Opening4:29 Life Is Chess, but We Don’t Start With the Same Pieces5:10 Nobody Is Coming to Save You8:00 Building What Life Didn’t Give Me10:00 Becoming the King11:53 Learning to Lead With Love Instead of Ego13:16 The Hardest Thing I Ever Built Was Myself15:44 A Message to Men: Build Yourself17:16 Understanding the Power of a Queen19:03 Become a King Before You Recognize a Queen20:06 Why the Pawns Matter21:05 Daily Habits Build the Dream22:42 Knights, Bishops, Castles, and Your Inner Circle24:31 The Mexican Fisherman Story30:18 Have You Forgotten Why You’re Building?31:36 Build the Dream Without Losing Your Life35:16 The Gym Is Not the Checkmate35:55 The People Inside the Building Are the Dream36:40 The Fisherman Story: Full Version41:33 You’re Not Building a Business—You’re Building Yourself43:54 Never Forget Who You’re Building It For44:57 You Control YouLinktree - https://linktr.ee/YouControlYou
