Greggity Greg back again. Last time I wrote in, I wrote of niche regional foods from Cincinnati and other locations around the country. Since then I’ve been notified I must relocate to NYC for work. Outside of New York, sandwich shops slap the moniker “bodega” to their name to seem chic and give a New York feel, but in reality are operated by talented and aspiring chefs.
What I want to know from Large and Ian - what separates a deli/bodega worthy of stepping up to the sandwich counter from a bodega which only serves purpose for snacks and small groceries?
Love the show! (And question)

I love the show as my wife and I love to travel and have always tried to take the kids different places and get them to try different things. We have three boys all in high school now (pray for us). My question is, we took them to New York City a few years ago when the oldest was 11 I believe. They have always been adventurous. Where if you were from a smaller area would you take your kids to experience different foods in New York. Love hearing about places like Spumoni Gardens and RollN Roaster and places like that. Would’ve loved to have known about places like that when we went with the kids.
Love the show Large

Large, have you ever considered having a listener on the show? I fully understand the numbers probably wouldn’t be as great but I think it’d be awesome. I’m obviously trying to advocate being on the show, I love it that much.
Great episode
