    Imposter Syndrome with Tanya Rad

This week Kat (@kat.defatta) sits down with Tanya Rad (@tanyarad) to talk about Imposter Syndrome. As the co-host of On Air with Ryan Seacrest, and her own award winning podcast, Scrubbing In, it is pretty safe to say that Tanya is an accomplished and successful human. However, as someone who struggles with Imposter Syndrome herself, Tanya often finds herself attributing her accomplishments to luck and questioning whether she is deserving of her success. In this episode, Tanya & Kat process the voices in their heads that tell them that they aren’t good enough to be where they are in life. You will hear how Tanya fights back against these voices and how sometimes the voices can actually help her grow.

Memorial Day Special: The History of Understanding PTSD in War Veterans

Memorial Day Special: The History of Understanding PTSD in War Veterans

This week Kat (@kat.defatta) takes us through a history lesson as she talks us through how the diagnosis of PTSD (post traumatic stress syndrome) in war veterans used to be looked at and how far we have come in understanding the effects of psychological trauma on the human experience. Both women and men suffering from this diagnosis used to be seen as morally flawed humans thus resulting in a poor prognosis of recovery. Kat has a lot of feelings in this episode and expresses why it is sooo important to meet victims of abuse with empathy rather than blame. You will also learn the difference between PTSD and complex PTSD.

I found this Podcast via 4 Things with Amy. Since discovering it about a week ago, I have listened to several episodes and have had many lightbulb moments. I’ve also shared it with my loved ones and we have had some thought provoking conversations thanks to some of the harder topics this podcast brings to the light. Thank you!!
