027 ~ Restoring the Whole Part 2: The Gravity of Return

Victoria ended Part 1 with two questions. This episode goes somewhere unexpected with both of them. In Part 2 of the Restoring the Whole series, Danielle YS and Victoria McMahon move from belonging and separation into the territory of sovereignty — what it means to help another being back into wholeness without violating the very thing you're trying to restore. You don't give Nature back its sovereignty. You acknowledge a sovereignty that was never yours to give. Together YSM explores: • Victoria's two questions that close Part 1 — what does a wholeness community look like, and how does the collective web bring "otherness" back into belonging — and why Danielle's answers are as simple and as surprising as nature and gravity • The bed sheet and the center ball: how gravity already does what we've been trying to engineer — pulling everything toward a center that holds without forcing — and what that says about the source that's already doing the same for us • The rhino story: what a nature documentary reveals about well-intentioned sovereignty violations, and why the question isn't "how do we help" but "are we listening to what's actually being asked" • The difference between giving Nature its sovereignty and acknowledging a sovereignty that was never ours to give — and what that same distinction looks like in trauma-informed work with people • Generative listening as the access point: what happens when we regulate first, then listen — and how that opens the path toward a collective new vision that no strategy alone could reach The glue of the web was never broken. The question is whether we have been listening to what it's asking of us. In this episode: [00:01:00] Recap from Part 1: the piece/peace moment and Victoria's two questions [00:02:00] What does a wholeness community look like? And what brings otherness back into belonging? [00:03:00] Nature as the first answer — any sufficiently advanced technology will be indistinguishable from nature [00:05:00] Gravity as the second answer: the bed sheet, the center ball, the pull toward center [00:06:00] The return to nature as return to embodiment — we are already within what we think we've left [00:07:15] Giving water its rights: what sovereignty looks like when we acknowledge rather than grant [00:08:00] The rhino story: conservation, trauma, and the question of what helping actually means [00:10:00] Acknowledging sovereignty — for rhinos, for people, for trees — and why that distinction matters [00:12:00] Regulate before you respond: the tools for generative listening with every being [00:14:00] Generative listening as the access point to the next collective vision [00:15:30] What comes next — and the Impossible Dream ✨ Book your free Threshold Assessment with Danielle: https://danielleys.com/calendar 📝 Subscribe to Victoria's writing: https://substack.com/@vibrantsoulcoaching 📺 Subscribe to our channels for more Generative Listening — where listening deeply to the Self, to each other, and to the intelligence of the Universe opens a door to something genuinely new.

026 ~ Restoring the Whole Part 1: When Safety Becomes Separation

You didn't pull yourself out of the whole because you wanted to be separate. You pulled yourself out because you were looking for a place to belong. In Part 1 of the Restoring the Whole series, Danielle YS and Victoria McMahon open a new conversation through the metaphor of a puzzle — and discover that the piece isn't missing from the collective. It just went looking for somewhere to feel safe. When you finally find your piece, you discover the peace. One kind of piece leads to the other — P-I-E-C-E becomes P-E-A-C-E. And it lands. Together YSM explores: • The puzzle as a living map of belonging — how each of us is a piece within a greater whole, and what it means to pull ourselves outside the border while still, always, being part of it • Why we leave the whole — not because we want separation, but because safety feels more available in a smaller space, and what that costs us in connection to the collective we never actually left • The piece and the peace: the moment a missing puzzle piece is found already inside the collective — and what that says about the belonging we have been searching for outside ourselves • The survival mind and its categories of safe/not safe: how our most protective mechanism creates the separations that disconnect us from the wholeness we were born into • The circles that demand "this is the only place you belong" — and how extreme belonging perpetuates the very outsideness it claims to solve The belonging you've been searching for isn't somewhere you have to arrive. It lives in the wholeness you never actually left. In this episode: [00:01:00] The puzzle metaphor: how each of us is a piece within the greater whole [00:03:00] The puppy and the cats — what animals teach us about needing a place to belong [00:05:00] Why we pull ourselves out of the collective to find safety — and what it costs [00:06:00] The glue of the collective: you are never truly outside the whole [00:07:00] The piece found inside the puzzle — and the P-I-E-C-E → P-E-A-C-E moment [00:09:00] The community question: circles that demand exclusivity vs. the whole puzzle [00:10:00] The survival mind and the categories that create separation [00:11:00] The consciousness that precedes biology — returning to our base wholeness [00:12:30] When belonging within ourselves, we belong everywhere ✨ Book your free Threshold Assessment with Danielle: https://danielleys.com/calendar 📝 Subscribe to Victoria's writing: https://substack.com/@vibrantsoulcoaching 📺 Subscribe to our channels for more Generative Listening — where listening deeply to the Self, to each other, and to the intelligence of the Universe opens a door to something genuinely new.

025 ~ Origins of YSM Part 4: The Bumps Become the Awakening

The bumps become part of the awakening. Victoria said it in Part 3. Danielle asked her to say it again. This final episode brings it all the way home.In Part 4 — the finale — of the Origins of YSM series, Danielle YS and Victoria McMahon close the loop: tracing the somatic experience of Generative Listening, the moment YSM became its own Beingness, the remarkably simple origin of the name, and the teaching the whole series has been quietly building toward. Two people can only create something genuinely new when they come together from wholeness. Not to complete each other — to be completed, together.Together YSM explores:• The somatic experience of Generative Listening — the "plunk and expand" of insight that opens whole universes, the body expanding forward from the heart space, the waves of wisdom that arise through genuine presence with another• Generative Listening as future-visioned, not past-based — how staying in the listening for months orients toward what's coming rather than what was, and why that's what YSM's entire origin was actually doing all along• The moment of revelation: "YSM is its own beingness" — the sudden, obvious quality of it, and what it means to discover you've been generating something that has grown beyond you• The origin of the name YSM — the simplest, most honest answer: YS shows up, M shows up, and in that showing up, YSM Conversations is generated• "We are YSM" — not "this is YSM" — and the difference that distinction carries: something created in the collective listening that goes beyond the individual personalities who showed up to generate itWhole first. Then together. The bumps are part of how you get there. In this episode:[00:01:52] The somatic experience of Generative Listening — body cues, expansion, tracking from within[00:02:52] "Plunk and expand" — splashes of insight that open whole universes[00:03:52] Waves of Wisdom — an old memory stirred by new insight, twenty years later[00:05:01] Generative Listening as future-visioned — orienting toward what's coming, not what was[00:05:52] "YSM is its own beingness" — the moment it became clear[00:06:30] Why naming something too soon prevents it from becoming what it wants to be[00:07:32] How YSM got its name — the simplest, truest answer[00:09:26] "We are YSM" — from "this is" to "we are"[00:10:12] Dissolving separation without losing distinction — wholeness before togetherness[00:12:21] When two people come from wholeness, they create; when they come from lack, they depend[00:12:39] "The bumps become the awakening" — full circle[00:13:03] Takeaways: just showing up, the bumps, not naming it too soon[00:13:34] The lotus blooms from the muck — patience and perseverance as gifts✨ Book your free Threshold Assessment with Danielle:https://danielleys.com/calendar📝 Subscribe to Victoria's writing:https://substack.com/@vibrantsoulcoaching📺 Subscribe to our channels for more Generative Listening — where listening deeply to the Self, to each other, and to the intelligence of the Universe opens a door to something genuinely new.

024 ~ Origins of YSM Part 3: What Moves through the Between

Every collaboration has bumps. The question isn't whether they'll come — it's whether you've built a space where they can be spoken. In Part 3 of the Origins of YSM series, Danielle YS and Victoria McMahon go into the parts of YSM's origin that weren't smooth — and what those moments of friction revealed about showing up, staying in, and what gets generated in the space between two people who are fully present to each other. Not every collaboration is built to hold what's hard. YSM was. This is what that looked like from the inside.Together YSM explores:• The bumps in the road of building YSM — what it looked like when things got hard, and why having a space where you can say "this is what I'm feeling, I haven't figured it out" is what kept them on the road• "Just showing up" as a superpower: the simple, enormous act of presence — showing up wherever called, especially when it can feel like the hardest thing in the world — and why being multi-generational women with diverse lived experience made that trust easier to hold• "The bumps become part of the awakening" — the phrase Victoria said that stopped the conversation — and what it means to embrace the discomfort of collaboration as part of what you're becoming, not a detour around it• The telltale signs that Generative Listening is happening: the magnetism that keeps pulling you deeper, the slow carving layer by layer toward something that was waiting to be revealed, the feeling that you can't not go back• A Sedona retreat on Generative Listening taking shape in real time — born directly from the conversation itself, mid-episode, as if the idea had been waiting for exactly this moment to be spoken aloudWhat moves through the between? Everything that couldn't have been found alone. In this episode:[00:00:56] Giving voice to what wasn't smooth — the bumps in the road of building YSM[00:01:46] Bumps don't derail — they inform how you move down the road[00:02:25] Victoria: "We're so much better off when we embrace the bumps"[00:03:07] Just showing up: the simple, sometimes hardest act — and why it's a superpower[00:04:00] "The bumps become part of the awakening" — the phrase that stopped the conversation[00:04:33] The gift of diversity: being multi-generational women with different lived experience[00:05:41] YSM as something more than the sum of its parts — what comes through beyond personality[00:07:15] What are the telltale signs of Generative Listening?[00:07:51] Magnetism and deepening — carving the angel layer by layer[00:08:29] A Sedona retreat on Generative Listening takes shape — live, in real time✨ Book your free Threshold Assessment with Danielle:https://danielleys.com/calendar📝 Subscribe to Victoria's writing:https://substack.com/@vibrantsoulcoaching📺 Subscribe to our channels for more Generative Listening — where listening deeply to the Self, to each other, and to the intelligence of the Universe opens a door to something genuinely new.

023 ~ Origins of YSM Part 2: What Kept Not Happening

A retreat kept not happening. Online yoga kept not happening. Structured formats kept not happening. For months, everything they tried to build together quietly refused to become. In Part 2 of the Origins of YSM series, Danielle YS and Victoria McMahon explore what it means to keep listening when everything you reach for keeps slipping away — and why the sifting itself was the work. Not everything that doesn't happen is a failure. Some things don't happen because something else is waiting to be found.Together YSM explores:• The magnets metaphor — why different people are drawn to different energies, and why YSM has never tried to be everyone's cup of tea — that clarity is part of the design• What it takes to sit and listen with someone for a full year before knowing what you're creating — the courage, the fortitude, and the Self-awareness that makes it safe enough to keep going• Revelation and generation as a cycle: how each presence pulls something out of the other, and how that cycle is different from ordinary back-and-forth conversation• The multidimensional nature of presence — listening that extends beyond humans, into trees, animals, Nature, and the field that's created between Beings who are truly in conversation• All the things that kept not happening — structured retreats, online yoga, formatted programs — and what was finally revealed when YSM stopped trying to decide what it should beWhat is the work you can't not do? What is the being you can't not be? This episode is one long exploration of that question. In this episode:[00:00:56] Picking up where we left off — the cubby invitation and what drew them together[00:02:18] The magnets: not everybody will be drawn to this — and that's part of the design[00:03:21] What it takes to sit and listen to someone for a year — courage and self-awareness[00:04:05] Revelation and generation as a cycle: the presencing that creates something new[00:05:06] What makes this different from ordinary conversation — presence in the field between[00:06:18] Multidimensional presence — talking to trees, horses, the natural world[00:07:46] Everything kept not happening: sifting through what didn't want to be generated[00:09:30] "What is the work you can't not do? 022 ~ Origins of YSM Part 1: Eavesdrop on Us

Some things don't begin. They emerge. YSM didn't start with a plan, a vision board, or a clear goal. It started with two women who had met once in person — in Sedona — and couldn't stop sensing that something more wanted to be born through their conversations. In Part 1 of the Origins of YSM series, Danielle YS and Victoria McMahon trace how a single conversation on a virtual platform became eleven months of private weekly conversations — before a single word of it was ever shared with the world. The metaphor that found them early: it feels like you've wandered into a restaurant, overheard two women at the table next to you, and realized you've been looking for exactly this conversation your whole life.Together YSM explores:• The CreateAWorld conversation that sparked everything — and what it felt like to sense, without knowing why, that something more wanted to be born through these two women• Eleven months of private weekly meetings before going public — showing up every week with no product, no agenda, and no certainty about where it was going• The one time Danielle and Victoria met in person — a Sedona business retreat, one shared room, one request from Victoria that drew a response from every single woman present — and what that moment revealed about the quality of presence between them• "Self-generating and Self-revealing" — how YSM became something neither woman could have designed, because what wanted to emerge could only be discovered through the listening itself• The "eavesdrop" invitation: pull up a chair to the kind of real, unscripted, living conversation most people are quietly hungry forWhat does it feel like when something is being born? This is what it sounds like.In this episode:[00:00:56] Welcome to the Origins of YSM series — what brought Danielle and Victoria together[00:01:51] "Something needed to happen, but we didn't know what" — the beginning of the experiment[00:02:16] The CreateAWorld conversation that first sparked the connection[00:02:43] Stumbling blocks and safety: showing up to collaboration with full honesty[00:03:35] Victoria's reflection on YSM as its own field with its own energy[00:04:39] What kept drawing Victoria to want to be in conversation with Danielle[00:05:51] "Self-generating and self-revealing" — the nature of what YSM has become[00:06:34] An organic origin: choosing not to decide where this would lead[00:07:11] The Sedona meeting — the only time they've met in person — and Victoria's request[00:08:30] "It feels like we're out to eat lunch and someone can just eavesdrop in"[00:09:07] The cubby invitation — what it means to welcome others into the conversation✨ Book your free Threshold Assessment with Danielle:https://danielleys.com/calendar📝 Subscribe to Victoria's writing:https://substack.com/@vibrantsoulcoaching📺 Subscribe to our channels for more Generative Listening — where listening deeply to the Self, to each other, and to the intelligence of the Universe opens a door to something genuinely new.

021 ~ Consciously Completing Part 4: The Opposite of Patriarchy Isn't Matriarchy

The word "matriarch" was invented in the 17th century — a false analogy of patriarch. Before that, there was no word for a woman leader. Not in ancient Greek. Not in the dominant language of the dominant system. Not anywhere the record was kept.In Part 4 — the finale — of the Consciously Completing series, Danielle YS and Victoria McMahon explore what it means to consciously complete with old systems and old paradigms, beginning with the one that has shaped every other: patriarchy.Consciously completing with patriarchy doesn't mean installing matriarchy in its place. It means dissolving the very framework that created the need for an "opposite" — and stepping into an integrated wholeness that neither system has a word for. Yet.Together YSM explores:• The etymology of "matriarch" — why it was invented in the 17th century as a false analogy of patriarch, what its absence from ancient language reveals about how power has been framed, and why the solution isn't what we've been told• Why the opposite of patriarchy is not matriarchy — and why swapping who's at the head of the table produces the same system with a different face• The heroine's journey vs. the hero's journey — and why the next story may be the human journey, something that hasn't been written yet• The infinity sign as a symbol of what's coming: where the two circles cross, something genuinely new is born in the sacred union — a consciousness beyond the binary• "What is the being you can't not be?" — Victoria's closing reframe that elevates the whole series and names what consciously completing is ultimately asking of usThe new system doesn't have a name yet. That might be exactly the point. In this episode:[00:00:56] Welcome to Part 4 — consciously completing with old systems and old paradigms[00:01:20] A recap of the series arc: rest and reconnection, pruning, the meticulous-messy, and now old systems[00:02:09] Why YSM chose to start with patriarchy — and going back to the origin of the word[00:03:09] The etymology: "matriarch" as a 17th-century false analogy — no Greek word for a woman leader existed[00:04:12] Victoria's somatic response — the rage of an omitted voice, and the activation beneath it[00:05:36] Restoring the intertwined resonance — not as a return to the past, but as something genuinely new[00:08:05] The opposite of patriarchy is not matriarchy — integration is not replacement[00:09:42] The heroine's journey: the seesaw, the over-pruning, and the final step above ground[00:11:42] Hero's journey vs. heroine's journey — and the human journey that's still being written[00:13:47] The infinity sign: where two circles cross and the sacred union is born[00:16:00] "Mutual tasking" — human on behalf of human, on behalf of the whole[00:17:19] "What is the being you can't not be?" — the closing question that completes the series✨ Book your free Threshold Assessment with Danielle:https://danielleys.com/calendar📝 Subscribe to Victoria's writing:https://substack.com/@vibrantsoulcoaching📺 Subscribe to our channels for more Generative Listening — where listening deeply to the Self, to each other, and to the intelligence of the Universe opens a door to something genuinely new.

020 ~ Consciously Completing Part 3: What Is the Work You Can't Not Do?

Some patterns don't prune cleanly. That might be the whole point. In Part 3 of the Consciously Completing series, Danielle YS and Victoria McMahon explore the meticulous art of discernment — what it means to complete not a whole branch, but precisely the right piece of even your most ingrained patterns. You're not removing people-pleasing. You're releasing the part that comes from fear — and keeping the part that comes from love. The art is knowing the difference.Together YSM explores:• Why some of our deepest patterns — people-pleasing, caretaking, the reflexive putting of others first — can't be pruned cleanly, and why that may be the wisdom, not the obstacle• The Michelangelo principle: how the most profound completions don't remove what's there, but reveal what's already inside — "I'm not carving the marble. I'm releasing the angel."• The meticulous within the messy — why devoted, precise attention to what's alive in you is itself a form of consciously completing, not a detour from it• "What is the work you can't not do?" — the question that cuts through the noise and points toward where your life force is genuinely flowing• Completion as a spiral, not a finish line — how each consciously completing opens into a new awakening rather than a closed doorThe invitation isn't to release everything. It's to become meticulous with what's alive. In this episode:[00:00:56] Opening: Victoria's people-pleasing moment at the gym — meticulous care for another, messy forgetting of herself[00:03:56] Why people-pleasing can't simply be pruned — and what de-limbing vs. sculpting reveals about lineage-deep patterns[00:06:57] From lobbing to sculpting: topiary and bonsai as a model for meticulous, devoted self-shaping[00:08:27] The Michelangelo principle — not carving the marble, releasing the angel that's already inside[00:11:52] Victoria's card: "What is the work you can't not do?" — and why this question is the real funnel back to life force[00:12:55] YSM goes live on Spotify — the meticulous-within-messy as the work itself[00:15:40] Completion as a dance: one completing opens into the next awakening[00:17:00] Looking ahead to Part 4: feminine and masculine energies in the completing spiral✨ Book your free Threshold Assessment with Danielle:https://danielleys.com/calendar📝 Subscribe to Victoria's writing:https://substack.com/@vibrantsoulcoac...📺 Subscribe to our channels for more Generative Listening — where listening deeply to the Self, to each other, and to the intelligence of the Universe opens a door to something genuinely new.
