Isn't the whole point of life to be successful and exceptional?" And while there's certainly nothing wrong with striving for success, the problem is that our society often puts so much pressure on us to be the best, the brightest, and the most talented.     # Perfection Vs Performance All my life I have been driven by the idea that perfection will lead to success. I could not be more wrong. Perfection is pointless or endless. There is no point where you can say something is perfect. Everything in this Universe, including the Universe is growing, evolving and nothing is perfect. So... striving for perfection is an endless pursuit. Many may find amusing and might even have the luxury to entertain it.  However for those who are trying to build something, create something new, change something for good, it is performance that will make this happen and not perfection. Imagine you are trying to write a book, and get it published. You have not published anything ever before. This is your debut. If you set your goal as - to publish the most perfect version of your book, the perfect  content and the perfect title and the perfect cover, etc, etc....; you are most likely to be in an endless loop of iterations. You will always find something to fix or change to make it better On the other hand if you focus on performance,  performance can be defines as - *the action or process of performing a task or function,*  you are most likely to get the book out in a reasonable time frame.

It is when you do one thing even though you know you should do something else. Loosely translated, you could say that _akrasia_ is procrastination or a lack of self-control.     3: How to get things done and overcome procrastination?

    Procrastination is the act of delaying or putting off tasks until the last minute, or past their deadline. Some researchers define procrastination as a "form of self-regulation failure characterized by the irrational delay of tasks despite potentially negative consequences. At some point or the other we all have been a victim to procrastination. Well... I certainly have and I have tried many things and metal models to overcome procrastination in my life. Some kinda worked and some did not. Then I learned a new way of handling procrastination and this one seems to work the best so far. So... when I have a task at hand and I know I have been avoiding it for sometime now...and it would common wisdom to understand that it is a classic case of procrastinating my work; here is what I do. I use the first 2 working hours of my day to do just that and nothing else...and I mean absolutely nothing else. first two hours First thing only one task that I have been avoiding or procrastinating This has helped me get a lot of tasks done in the past couple of weeks. This is how I got this episode out first thing in the morning. I hope this trick helps you to overcome procrastination and to actually get things done.     2: Always aim for bigger, better and higher

    Hello world! Always aim for bigger, better and higher. That is what I used to do and that is what I used to get. However, somewhere down the line, I forgot how to dream big and I started compromising. I tried to find joy and happiness in the mediocre and mundane. I was never happy. I knew there was something missing. There was always something missing. I must stop thinking mediocre and start dreaming large. Life is one and I don't think I will get another chance at it. So this is it! Dream large, live large and be happy. #mantra - Dream BIG!

    It goes like this...“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”  This Chinese proverb means that a person must begin his or her journey to reach their goal or destination. It is a motivational proverb that expresses deep insight about determination and avoiding procrastination.  In other words, this expression tells that the great things commence with simple beginnings. A Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins with a Single Step” is a saying by an ancient Chinese philosopher, Lao Tzu.  Whenever I have something daunting and big and scary, I try and tell myself, just got to take the first step, and we will see. and more often than not, it works.
