If you’ve ever had reason to be curious about the creative world of adult size fantasy, this podcast provides an excellent starting point. The host, Aborigen, takes a storyteller’s approach to his subject matter that is nevertheless scholarly and very thorough. His narration is rich with evocative detail, even as he is defining niche terms or teasing apart the nuances of size fantasy scenarios. As a coda, each show includes a brief survey response from a different creator or community participant with a reflection on their history with the fantasy and why they are “into it,” which I have really enjoyed as well.
Aborigen brings his own perspective and social consciousness to the material, often providing a necessary critique of problematic community attitudes and interactions. It’s a breath of fresh air in a milieu where all the typical -isms flourish, and some people’s standards of behavior are positively horrific.
I genuinely look forward to new episodes, and I hope Aborigen continues the project going forward. Can’t wait to find out what’s next!
