    Super Benito Bowl

    This week it’s the least annoying episode in a long time because it’s just Jordan Centry + Jason Allen King (Jonathan is… “on the lamb” ). We recap the Super Bowl (the game was mid, let’s be real) but the halftime show was the main event: Bad Bunny delivered the first all-Spanish Super Bowl performance with huge production, cultural references, and a message of unity — and of course it sent certain people into a meltdown. We talk representation, why “woke” has become a meaningless complaint, and how you can’t celebrate “America” while acting like Puerto Rico isn’t part of it. Then we pivot into a hilarious/real convo about productivity types (morning people vs night owls), “eat the frog,” and why staying late at work after 3 PM is basically performance art. In the second half, we revisit the NateLand at Sea lineup conversation and why diversity matters on shows — not as a “political” thing, but because it makes comedy better and reflects the audience.     Don't Trust the Headlines

    We're Off on Monday?

    This one goes everywhere. We kick things off on MLK Day talking legacy, performative “holiday energy,” and why certain political commentators always find a way to make everything worse. From there, we get into comments about MLK, the internet’s selective outrage machine, and why it feels like corporations (and the NFL) do PR calculus instead of having a conscience. Then we spiral (in the best way) into: the files, who would actually hurt to see on the list, whether the conspiracies are getting harder to dismiss, and why “when they start hiding it” is when everybody locks in. In the second half, Jordan breaks down getting called “Temu Drake” at Duckworth’s, dealing with bots and hate comments, and we talk about professionalism in comedy after a local open mic debate goes sideways online.     The gang’s back together — Jordan Centry, Jonathan Williams, and Jason Allen King — with rum, coke (a lot of coke), and big 2026 energy. We open with an important announcement: Three’s Comedy Tour hits the Cain Center for the Arts in Cornelius, NC on March 10. If you’re in Charlotte, Huntersville, Mooresville, or anywhere nearby, grab tickets now at cainarts.org.  Then we get into awards season chaos, including the indie horror film “Good Boy” — shot from a dog’s perspective — and the question nobody expected to debate: Can a dog be a great actor? (And does this open the door for more dog-led horror films?) From there, the conversation turns into a love letter to craft: acting choices, career pivots, and why certain performers (Michael B. Jordan, Timothée Chalamet, Idris Elba, Anne Hathaway, Matthew McConaughey, and more) hit different when they’re locked in.  In the second half, we show love to the Charlotte comedy scene, shout out both clubs (The Comedy Zone + Duckworth’s) and talk about what it means to get “passed” — plus why that kind of recognition matters for building a real comedy culture in the city.     Zoning Out is back for the first episode of 2026! Jordan, Jason, and Jonathan kick off the new year by diving into the Stranger Things series finale (SPOILERS AHEAD). We break down what hit, what missed, and what had us yelling at the screen: the “volume” release strategy, the over-explaining/exposition-heavy dialogue, characters randomly turning into motivational speakers, and the biggest debate of all… How did NOBODY important die?!
