Yvette

The Promise I Made to Myself: After turning 40, I committed to fulfilling one long-held aspiration every year. Last year, I finally earned my international certification in psychological counseling—a goal almost ten years in the making. This year, I am bringing "Meeting Yvette" (剛好郁見你) to life, a vision I’ve nurtured for over three years. Over the years, I have navigated diverse stages and engaged with various leaders on a multitude of strategic themes. I have always believed: Once the essence is clear, the problem is no longer a problem. Yet, some insights are too profound to be fully captured in a single encounter. That is why I am building this space—to allow these dialogues to unfold slowly; a place for meaningful exchange and radical inclusion. This is not just an "HR podcast." It is an exploration of the human element—to understand what truly happens within people and organizations under complex, real-world dynamics. This is "Meeting Yvette." I may not always have the answers, but strive to ask better questions. "Meeting Yvette." Aligning with you, grateful for our intersection. Powered by Firstory Hosting

In this episode, I start with a late-night call—and unpack a scenario that happens more often than we admit: When an outcome is already decided, how does the process get “engineered” to support it? This is not just a story about termination. It’s about how organizations redistribute risk and cost—within legal boundaries. When a “formal closure” masks a “substantial continuity,”it may reduce visible conflict. But whose choices are being taken away in the process? In this episode, we explore: How organizations use structure to execute decisions? What “staying” really means for those who remain? And whether “choice” truly exists in transitional moments? This is not about right or wrong. It’s about the choices we make—when we have the power to choose. 🎧 Hosted by Yvette Kao“Meeting Yvette” — where conversations unfoldabout people, organizations, and the space in between 📍Connect with me on LinkedIn for more insights:www.linkedin.com/in/yvette-kao Powered by Firstory Hosting

Episode 1 "Some dialogues may not have immediate answers, but they are always worth expressing."Welcome to the premiere of "Meeting Yvette."
