But what happens when the very thing we use to manage stress becomes another source of it? Today, we explore the complicated relationship between running and stress. Although we think of running as an escape, training itself is a stressor. Mileage, intensity, strength training, work, travel, relationships, poor sleep, bad news, financial worry, and life responsibilities all place demands on the same system.
