How to Stop Undervaluing Yourself ft. Kameron Monet

#334: You can’t manifest what you don’t protect. And if you’re still doing deals in DMs and hoping for the best… we need to talk. In the last episode of the How to Get What You Want series, I’m joined by attorney and tech founder Kameron Monet to get into the parts of the process we don’t romanticize enough: the structure. The contracts. The negotiation. The uncomfortable emails. Because manifestation is cute — but protection is power. Our conversation goes beyond vision boards and affirmations and into the tactical moves that actually secure the life you’re building. We talk about how to negotiate with conviction, what “perpetuity” really means (and why you should care), why you should never start work without a signed agreement, and how to stop leaving money on the table — whether you’re a creator or a corporate girl. If you want more, you need the courage to ask for it and the infrastructure to keep it. This episode is your reminder that getting what you want isn’t just about desire. It’s about protecting your hard work, discipline and clarity with the right education. This episode is for you if… You’ve ever accepted an offer too quickly and regretted it later. You want more money, more opportunities and more ownership but don’t know where to start. You feel intimidated by negotiation and you want to overcome that. You don’t know what the “rule of three” is.You’ve worked without an agreement in place. You’re dipping your toes into the creator economy. You’re new to the world of corporate. You’ve signed contracts without fully understanding the terms. Mixed Media In Funnels: The Strategy Smart Marketers Still Ignore

Most marketers want simple funnels. Darcy Juarez wants profitable ones. In this episode, Dan Kennedy sits down with Magnetic Marketing's Chief Business Strategist to expose the biggest mistakes entrepreneurs make in building their funnels, from lazy follow-up to one-message-fits-all thinking. If you've ever wondered how to turn a leaky funnel into a revenue machine (or why adding complexity might be the fix, not the flaw), this conversation will challenge everything you thought you knew about "easy" marketing. Direct Mail Isn't Dead: How Agora Makes It Work In Today's World

If you think direct mail is dead, Dan Kennedy has a few words for you: It's not merely surviving. It's THRIVING. In this episode, Dan is joined by direct mail expert Craig Simpson and Agora Publishing's own Jon Alexander to reveal how some of the biggest financial publishers in the world are using mail to drive webinar registrations, upsells, and long-term customer value. You'll hear how smart businesses - big and small - are using physical mail to bypass digital noise, tie their messaging to current events, and even go negative to acquire high-value customers. This is your proof that direct mail isn't old school... It's just underused. MagneticMarketing.com NoBSLetter.com

The Hard Truth About Why Your Life Hasn’t Changed with Aycee Brown

#332: If you’ve been waiting for permission, validation, or a sign to make a change, this is it. In this episode of the “How to Get What You Want” series, I’m sitting down with psychic medium, spiritual teacher, and author Aycee Brown for a conversation about the one thing standing between you and the life you want: telling yourself the truth. Because most of the time when you feel stuck, it’s a sign of self-rejection, not confusion. Together, we unpack why clarity is the real catalyst for manifestation, how many of us unconsciously abandon our desires to be more palatable, and what it looks like to trust your body, your intuition, and your inner knowing. If luck is created through alignment, then honesty is where it begins. Aycee also shares how spiritual frameworks like astrology, numerology, and human design can deepen your self-understanding, why success can feel more threatening than failure, and how small acts of self-trust build the life you’ve been envisioning. Consider this your reminder: you don’t need to become someone else to have the life you want. You need to embody who you already are. This episode is for you if… You know you want more and you’re done pretending you don’t.You’re ready to be honest about what you want. You’ve outgrown who you used to be.You’re learning that self-trust is the real strategy. You want clarity — not confusion — guiding your next chapter. You’re done waiting for luck to knock on your door and are ready to create it. Stop Settling for Almost: How to Actually Get What You Want

#331: In this unfiltered solo episode, I break down why February is about claiming what’s yours and what it really takes to get what you want. Not the aesthetic version. Not the “manifest and wait” version. The real version: with clarity, courage, discipline, and having that dog in you. From recognizing your unfair advantage, to building the capacity to hold bigger dreams, to shooting your shot even when you’re scared, I walk you through how luck is actually built through bold decisions, uncomfortable growth, and choosing yourself even when it feels risky ✨ In this episode: I share personal stories about how early conditioning and outside voices can plant desires in us that aren’t actually oursWhy it’s crucial to get honest about what you truly want (not what you’ve been told to want)I tell you the truth about “being humble” and why it makes you smallLeaning into your real gifts instead of copying others and why that alignment is keyWhy the people closest to you may struggle the most with your growthHow to protect your dreams without cutting everyone offHow to unlock your unfair advantage, shoot your shot and get louder about your desires If you’ve been feeling a pull toward something bigger but haven’t given yourself full permission to be honest about what you want, this episode is your wake-up call. #324 John D. Rockefeller (38 Letters Rockefeller Wrote to His Son)

What I learned from reading The 38 Letters from J.D. Rockefeller to His Son by John D. Rockefeller.  ---- Get access to the World’s Most Valuable Notebook for Founders by investing in a subscription to Founders Notes ---- (5:00) My Influence had been extended to all corners of the oil industry.  If I say that I have the power of life and death over oil producers and oil refiners, that is not a lie. I can make them wealthy or I can make them worthless. (7:25) I never thought I would lose. As far as my nature is concerned, I do not meet competition. I destroy competitors. (8:30) Retreat means surrender. Retreat will turn you into a slave. The war is inevitable. Let it come. (9:00) Bring a steel like determination to face all kinds of challenges. (13:45) I firmly believe that our destiny is determined by our actions and not by our origins. (15:45) Alexander the Great: The Brief Life and Towering Exploits of History's Greatest Conqueror--As Told By His Original Biographers by Arrian, Plutarch, and Quintus Curtius Rufus. (Founders #232) (21:00) The glory and success of the family cannot guarantee the future of a children and grandchildren. (22:30) People of poor backgrounds will actively develop their abilities while also seizing various opportunities because they urgently need to rescue themselves. (26:00) Luck is the remnant of design luck is the remnant of design. — Cyrus McCormick (27:30) Rockefeller explains to his son, in writing, exactly what he was: A conqueror. (28:00) Everyone is a designer and architect of his own destiny. (29:00) If you do everything you will win: All great events hang by a single thread. The clever man takes advantage of everything, neglects nothing that may give him some added opportunity; the less clever man, by neglecting one thing, sometimes misses everything. — The Mind of Napoleon: A Selection of His Written and Spoken Words edited by J. Christopher Herold. (Founders #302) (32:00) Visionary businessmen are always good at finding opportunities in every disaster. And that is how I did it. (36:00) Anything can happen in this world. (38:30) People who climb up in any industry are fully committed to what they are doing. They sincerely love the work that they do. If you sincerely love the work that you do you will naturally succeed. (41:00) Do it now. Opportunity comes from opportunity. (42:00) Action solves everything. (42:00) Always more audacity. — Hero of the Empire: The Boer War, a Daring Escape, and the Making of Winston Churchill by Candice Millard. (Founders #319) (43:00) So at this time we’d better push it. We’d better push it. (43:00) Smart people make things happen. (46:00) Life is an opportunity at a time. (48:00) Get rid of the habit of being distracted. (54:00) No one in the world leads a smooth life. (58:00) Too many people overestimate what they lack and underestimate what they have. (58:00) You cannot sharpen your razor on velvet. — Abraham Lincoln (59:00) When I was a poor boy I was confident that I would become the richest person in the world. Strong self confidence inspired me. (59:00) I never believed that failure is the mother of success. I believe that faith is the father of success. Victory is a habit. (59:00) Believing that there will be great results is the driving force behind all great careers. (1:06:00) A story about Rockefeller’s ruthless competitive drive. (1:07:00) My nature never wears off. What I like is the good feeling of victory. (1:09:00) The people who can get ahead in the world are those who know how to find their ideal environment. If they cannot find it, they will create it themselves. (1:16:00) Enthusiasm is a force multiplier to everything. (1:16:00) The outcome of things is often proportional to our enthusiasm. (1:18:00) I think carefully prepared plans and actions are called luck. I never succumb to luck, I believe in cause and effect. (1:18:00) Ask yourself: Am I using my mind to create history? (1:18:00) I never succumb to luck, I believe in cause and effect. (1:18:00) In the process for pursuing career success the most important step is to prevent yourself from making excuses. (1:19:00) The important thing is that you firmly believe that you are your greatest capital. (1:19:00) Faith [in yourself] is the force that must drive you forward. (1:20:00) No American has completely changed the American way of life like Henry Ford did. He has turned the car from a luxury into a necessity that everyone can afford. (1:23:00) I told myself, I warned myself. You must hold onto this tightly. It can bring you to the realm of your dreams. (1:26:00) Of course I paid a high price, but what I won was freedom and a glorious future. I became my own master. (1:32:00) The end is just the beginning. — Andrew Carnegie (1:33:00) Look at those who fail, and you will find that most people fail not because they make mistakes, but because they are not fully committed. The same goes for companies. (1:35:00) The person who can create value the most is the person who devotes himself completely to his favorite activities. (1:36:00) Match people by their enthusiasm. #394 An Orphan Who Built An Empire: Leonardo Del Vecchio and The Founding of Luxottica

Your dad dies before you’re born. Your mom can’t afford to take care of you. You grow up without a family and in an institution. You learn a trade and start working full time at the age of 14. You work all day and go to school at night. You’re precise, meticulous, restless, and work circles around everyone. You’re promoted to run the factory at 18 but the thought of working for anyone else terrifies you. For your entire life you’ll be obsessed with control. You’ll do whatever it takes to escape the harshness of poverty and the pangs of hunger. You organize your life around a simple principle: "I want to be the best at everything I do.” You start your own workshop, create the best product, and your biggest customer wants to become your partner. They underestimate you and abuse you. You destroy them. You take all of their customers. You’re not satisfied with being a subcontractor. You want everything. You make your own glasses, you buy your distributor, you list your company on the New York Stock Exchange, you complete hostile takeovers of much larger companies, you buy entire retail chains, and control everything about your product: from the raw materials to the relationship with the customer. Your competitors call you the hawk because you circle, wait, and then strike. You work 20 hours a day and fuse yourself with the factory. You get married four times, to three different women, and have six kids. You don’t look back, you don’t rest on your laurels, and you don’t go to sleep on wins. You make something great, then you do it again. Your biggest deal comes 60 years into your career. The only thing that could stop you was death.  You are Leonardo Del Vecchio.  This episode is what I learned from reading Leonardo Del Vecchio by Thomas Ebhardt and The Spectacle of Big Lens: How One Giant Company Will Dominate How the World Sees by Sam Knight. ------ Ramp gives you everything you need to control spend, watch your costs, and optimize your financial operations —all on a single platform.
