    3

The Loneliness at the End of Manifestation Culture (Part 1)

What if the "ultimate secret" to life is actually a spiritual prison? Manifestation culture has become the dominant operating system of modern spirituality. We’re told that we are the sole authors of our reality. That our thoughts are commands, other people are holographic projections created by us, and #abundance is a matter of staying in some kind of "vibrational alignment." But what happens when you actually follow that logic to its final conclusion? In Part 1 of this two-part exploration, we’ll perform a cosmological audit on the manifestation movement. We aren’t just looking at the cheesy/cringe surface of it all, but diving into the deeply profound ontological coldness that sits at the center of a world where there is no true "Other." In this episode, we unpack: The Infinite Hall of Mirrors: Why the promise of total control eventually leads to a suffocating, closed-circuit loneliness. The Death of Intimacy: How treating people as "projections" makes real love and witness impossible. The God-Mode Simulation: The profound arrogance of flattening the living world into a sterile training module for your ego.The Cruelty of "User Error": Why reclassifying suffering and systemic tragedy as "misaligned thoughts" is a form of metaphysical victim-blaming.The Demand for Spiritual Adulthood: Why it’s time to trade the "spiritual pacifier" of total control for a reality that actually has the power to push back. This is a journey through the "cold infinity" of manifestation, setting the stage for a radical return to a world that can look back at you. PART 2 IS COMING TO PATREON The rebuild begins on Thursday, March 19th. In the premium-exclusive Part 2, we explore what happens AFTER manifestation culture. We move from the isolation of authorship to the vitality of participation, restoring mystery, grace, and authentic abundance to the equation. Unlock Part 2 and hundreds of hours of premium bonus content by joining the community at patreon.com/backfromtheborderline. Jefferson Fisher: The #1 Communication Mistake People Make in Arguments (Do THIS Before You Respond to Instantly Lower Tension)

Today, Jay sits down with communication expert Jefferson Fisher to explore why the conversations we avoid often shape our lives the most. Drawing from his experience as a trial lawyer turned teacher, Jefferson shares a powerful truth: communication isn’t about winning arguments, it’s about building peace. When we learn to face difficult conversations head on with clarity, courage, and compassion we stop people-pleasing, reconnect with who we truly are, and create deeper, more honest relationships. Avoidance may feel safer in the moment, but it always comes at a cost. Together, Jay and Jefferson unpack why so many conflicts spiral, not because of what’s said, but because of what’s heard. From romantic relationships to family dynamics, they reveal how most arguments are really about the need to feel understood, valued, and safe. Jefferson shares simple yes transformative tools, like asking “What did you hear?” or pausing to breathe before responding, that help slow heated moments and turn reaction into connection. He explains that true emotional intelligence is the ability to repair quickly, validate feelings without needing to agree, and choose understanding over defensiveness. In this interview, you'll learn: How to Face Difficult Conversations Without Fear How to Say the Hard Thing Without Starting a Fight How to Stay Calm When You Feel Triggered How to Make Someone Feel Understood Without Agreeing How to Repair a Conversation After You Mess Up How to Slow Down Arguments Before They Escalate How to Build Deeper Relationships Through Better Conversations Every honest sentence, every pause to breathe, every moment you choose understanding over reaction is a step toward a more peaceful life. Growth doesn’t come from avoiding what’s hard, it comes from meeting it with intention, patience, and compassion. Session 454: Black Single Mothers

Black single mothers have long been the subject of stereotypes, political debate, and cultural criticism. For decades, narratives in media and public discourse have framed them as the root of social problems rather than recognizing the complex realities of their lives, families, and communities. Today’s guest is writer and cultural critic Jamilah Lemieux, whose work has helped shape conversations about race, gender, and culture for more than a decade. Beginning her career in the Black feminist blogosphere, Jamilah has written and edited for many major publications and has become known for her sharp cultural commentary and advocacy for Black women and girls. In this conversation, we discuss her new book Black. Single. Mother., where she explores the realities of single motherhood through her own story as well as the stories of other Black women. We talk about the stigma attached to single mothers, the importance of community and co-parenting, how media narratives shape perceptions of Black families, and what it means to redefine family structures outside of traditional expectations. About the Podcast The Therapy for Black Girls Podcast is a weekly conversation with Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, a licensed Psychologist in Atlanta, Georgia, about all things mental health, personal development, and all the small decisions we can make to become the best possible versions of ourselves. 395. Is depression just a chemical imbalance?

The idea that depression is caused by a “chemical imbalance” is one of the most widely accepted explanations in modern mental health ... but is it actually true? In this bonus episode, we unpack where the chemical imbalance theory came from, how it became the dominant narrative around depression, and why many researchers today believe the story is far more complicated. Including:  The academic and applied history of this theory  What research says about antidepressants vs placebo Why the “low serotonin” explanation may be too simple The psychological and social drivers of depression Why meaning, connection, and environment matter for mental health Why depression treatment often works best when it’s multi-layered Happy listening! 216 - How to Spot a Manipulative Man / Woman (Before It’s Too Late)

AKA the episode I almost didn’t release... but my team begged me to. They were right. Today’s episode isn’t just about a manipulative fictional TV character... this is about every person who’s ever walked away from a situationship feeling confused, guilty, or like maybe it was her fault, or for any woman who has ever dated a narc and thought SHE was the problem. Spoiler: you weren't. In this episode, I unpack the subtle (and not-so-subtle) signs of manipulation, why manipulators are often the most insecure people in the room, and the psychology, biology, and nervous system roots of this behavior, including their deep need for control to feel safe. I break down how tactics like gaslighting, blame-shifting, silent treatment, and emotional blackmail show up in real time, and most importantly, why it is never your job to fix them, save them, or stay. And yes, we talk Tell Me Lies and the character of Stephen, who is every manipulative man you’ve ever dated rolled into one: charismatic, hot, charming... and completely unavailable, emotionally unsafe, and deeply rooted in shame.  ✨ READY TO START YOUR SOMATIC HEALING JOURNEY? ✨  Daily Devotion™ is now live on the App Store & Google Play — unlock your healthiest, happiest, highest self with somatic daily wellness rituals, free for 7 days → [REDEEM]  💌 DM me if this episode hit you: https://www.instagram.com/iamlouiserumball/ 🤍 FOLLOW LOUISE / HEALING HONEYS 🤍 https://www.youtube.com/@healinghoneys  https://www.tiktok.com/@healinghoneys_  https://www.instagram.com/healinghoneys/ SUBMIT: → 💌HEALING HONEYS HOTLINE: Submit your question or story: HERE Learn more about your ad choices. WORLD’S TOP OBGYN Dr. Aliabadi: The #1 Hormone Problem Affecting Millions of Women (And The 4 Changes That Can Reverse It)

For many women, the real challenge isn’t just unexplained health problems, it’s being heard when they seek help. Jay sits down with Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi, or "Dr. A", to unpack a silent crisis affecting millions of women around the world: undiagnosed PCOS and endometriosis. This isn’t just a discussion about fertility, but a masterclass on hormones, inflammation, mental health, and the painful reality of medical gaslighting. PCOS, a condition shaped by insulin resistance, hormonal imbalance, chronic inflammation, and neurological disruption, is often overlooked, leaving women struggling with anxiety, depression, weight gain, irregular periods, and infertility without answers. Dr. A shares how insulin resistance acts as the “first domino,” triggering a domino effect that impacts everything from ovulation to mood, and emphasizes that true healing requires addressing all four pillars, not just masking symptoms with birth control. Dr. A challenges the outdated belief that painful periods are “normal,” explaining that severe pain, painful sex, chronic bloating, bladder symptoms, and bowel discomfort are signs something deeper may be wrong. She reveals that diagnosis takes an average of 9–11 years, and that many women are told their pain is psychological before they’re ever taken seriously. Through both science and lived clinical experience, she makes it clear: when inflammation and hormones are out of balance, mental health suffers too. Anxiety, depression, brain fog, and eating disorders are not personal failings, they are often physiological signals that something deeper is happening in the body. In this interview, you'll learn: How to Recognize the Signs of PCOS Early How to Reduce Insulin Resistance Naturally How to Tell if Your Period Pain Is “Normal” How to Protect Your Fertility in Your 20s and 30s How to Balance Hormones Beyond Birth Control How to Spot Hidden Symptoms of Endometriosis How to Lower Inflammation Through Lifestyle Changes If there’s one thing to take away from this conversation, it’s this: your body is not working against you, it’s communicating with you. Pain is not weakness. It is a signal and you deserve to have those signals taken seriously.
