  • What Is Talent? And Do You Need It to Learn English? (English Vocabulary Lesson)

What Is Talent? And Do You Need It to Learn English? (English Vocabulary Lesson)

“I’m just not good at learning languages.” I’m sure many of you listening right now have thought this before. And I’m sure you’ve thought the opposite about people you have met in the past: “Wow, she’s so talented at English” or “He has a gift for languages.” These kinds of comments are incredibly common. Many people believe that success in language learning depends mostly on talent. Some people are just naturally good at learning English, while others aren’t. But is this true? Is talent real when it comes to learning languages? And if talent does exist, what exactly is it? Is it the same thing as skill? Is it the same thing as advantage? Is it the same thing as ability? In today’s episode, we’re going to explore these questions. We’ll look at what talent really means, how it is different from ability, advantage, and skill, and what science and neuroscience say about why some people seem to learn languages faster than others. Then we’ll apply these ideas directly to English learning and hopefully give you all some motivation! • The 90-Day Study Plan That Finally Gets You Fluent (Intermediate to Advanced)

The 90-Day Study Plan That Finally Gets You Fluent (Intermediate to Advanced)

🚀 The 90-Day Study Plan That FINALLY Gets You Fluent (Intermediate to Advanced) If you're studying English every day but STILL not fluent... it's not because you're bad at languages. It's because your study plan is wrong. After 30 years of teaching and helping 40 MILLION students worldwide, I can tell you this: 95% of intermediate English learners are using the SAME broken study plan. They study hard. They're motivated. But they stay stuck at intermediate forever.  Today, I'm giving you the EXACT 90-day study plan that takes intermediate learners to advanced fluency. This is what actually works. 🎯 WHAT YOU'LL LEARN: ✅ Why traditional "balanced study" keeps you at intermediate forever ✅ The 3-part system my most successful students use (The Engine + The Fuel) ✅ Your exact daily schedule: What to do Monday through Sunday for 90 days ✅ How to study LESS but get better results ✅ The commitment framework that prevents quitting ✅ Real student transformations: From frozen in interviews to teaching English themselves 💡 THE TRUTH ABOUT FLUENCY: You don't need more grammar study. You don't need to memorize more vocabulary. You don't need expensive software or apps. What you need is the RIGHT system, followed consistently for 90 days. Schools taught you wrong. They made you read textbooks and memorize rules. But advanced speakers got there by doing something completely different: They learned with their ears, not their eyes.  📚 FREE BOOK FOR YOU: Want my complete 7 Rules for Excellent English? These are the seven foundational rules that make this entire 90-day system work. 👉 Go to: EffortlessEnglishClub.com/7rules I'll send you one rule per day for seven days. Completely free. No credit card required. 🎓 READY FOR THE COMPLETE SYSTEM? If you want ALL the lessons, mini-stories, vocabulary training, and audio you need for this 90-day plan, check out the Power English Course: 👉 https://EffortlessEnglishClub.com Includes: • 6 months of structured daily lessons • Point-of-View stories (learn grammar intuitively, without rules) • Mini-story lessons (train your brain to think IN English) • Real English audio from native speakers • Energy and psychology training (The Fuel) • Lifetime access + updates 💬 REAL STUDENT RESULTS: "I studied English for 10 years using traditional methods. I knew grammar perfectly but froze in job interviews. After using Effortless English, I became fluent enough to become an English tutor myself." - Marjan, Serbia "I needed English for a job opportunity and only had a few months. This 90-day system worked. I got the job, and now I teach using these same methods." - Carole, France "I started and quit learning English dozens of times. This time I committed to 90 days. Finally, I'm fluent enough to use English in my engineering career." - Hadi, Iran  🔥 THE COMMITMENT: This system works... but ONLY if you commit to 90 days without quitting. Two hours a day. Following the system exactly. No switching methods halfway through. Are you willing to commit? If yes, then let's do this. Commit, don't quit. If no, that's okay. But don't start and quit. That kills your confidence. Decide right now. How to Think in English and Speak Automatically (Simple Daily Method)

🎧 How to Think in English Naturally (Step-by-Step Method) In this episode, you’re going to learn how to think in English naturally — without translating from your native language and without worrying about grammar rules. You’ll learn the exact method I use to think in other languages too. When you reach this stage, English starts to flow. Sentences come out automatically, your speech becomes smoother, and conversations feel effortless. Most learners never reach this point — but you can if you follow this simple process. 💡 What You’ll Learn in This Episode ✅ What it really means to think in English ✅ Why grammar and vocabulary must be internalized — not memorized ✅ The method I use to make English automatic ✅ How to build this into your daily routine 📺 Watch the technical tutorial on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pysIoC1bb3I The Method (Step-by-Step)  1: Create or Find Sentences Start with sentences that are personal to you — things you actually want to say in English. These should reflect your life, your hobbies, your work, and topics you care about. Use tools like ChatGPT or work with a teacher to create natural, real-world examples. :. Add Audio Listen to how these sentences sound naturally. You can use AI text-to-speech or native recordings. Hearing real pronunciation, rhythm, and intonation is essential for internalizing how English feels. 3: Use Spaced Repetition Import your sentences (with audio) into an app like Anki or Memrise. Listen, read, and repeat each sentence aloud — matching the sound as closely as possible. The system will show you sentences right before you forget them, which is the most efficient way to review. 4: Make It a Daily Habit Do this every day — even if only for five minutes. On days when you’re busy or tired, just review a few sentences. The goal is consistency. Over time, English grammar and phrases will become automatic — you’ll start thinking in English instead of translating. 5: Keep Adding Sentences As your life changes, add new sentences that match your experiences, goals, and topics you want to talk about. Each new sentence strengthens your fluency and builds flexibility when speaking. 🧩 Why This Works Because you’re not just learning words — you’re training your brain to recognize and reproduce patterns. You’re absorbing English through repetition, sound, and context — the same way native speakers learn. If you found this lesson helpful, share it with a friend who’s learning English — and remember: English fluency comes from consistent, focused practice.

Ghost Towns in the American West with Aubrey Carter

In this episode, we explore the fascinating world of ghost towns in the United States—places where thousands of people once lived, worked, and searched for fortune… and then suddenly left behind. We begin in Coloma, California, where gold was discovered in 1848, sparking the famous Gold Rush. You’ll learn how towns like this quickly grew into busy communities filled with miners, shops, and saloons—and how just as quickly, they became completely empty when the gold ran out. ⭐ Speak about the topics we discuss in this podcast! Join the Academy. Together with guest Aubrey Carter, we dive into what it’s actually like to visit ghost towns today. From Virginia City and Nevada City in Montana to Goldfield Ghost Town in Arizona and the famous Whaley House in California, we talk about real places you can explore—some of which are even said to be haunted. You’ll also learn how Americans talk about these places in everyday English. We explain expressions like “this place is a ghost town” and “this place is dead,” and clarify commonly confused words like salon vs. saloon. We also cover idioms like bite the dust and kick the bucket, including when it’s appropriate (and not appropriate!) to use them. Along the way, we explain vocabulary so you can build your English while learning about U.S. history and culture. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
