I’ve never reviewed a show or an episode before, but the bonus Ozempic episode has moved me to do so. THANK YOU Mike and Aubry for what you do. The journey of listening to your podcast has been so deeply healing and transformative for me, and for so many in my circle. I regularly prescribe it to friends and colleagues. I am a fat person who was prescribed Ozempic by several specialists for unrelated health issues. I eventually succumbed- in part because I was tired of arguing that Being Fat was not why I was sick. Especially given that two separate specialists had prescribed gastric bypass surgery, despite me very clearly telling them about my history and current struggle with severe anorexia. Yes, I lost weight. But no, my health issues did not go away. Instead, I accumulated more. Including, bizarrely, a spike in my insulin resistance- an issue I’d not previously had. Deciding to come off it was hard, but freeing. Your coverage, especially in the bonus episode of Ozempic was superb. The issue is not that much about “does it work?” but the way in which it is covered. I’m sorry to hear about the level of vitriol you’ve got in the comments, and honestly, surprised, too. The care that you put into your episodes is so evident. I know no other podcast as expertly and carefully produced and researched and humanised.I respect your need to take time off, but also wanted to at least add to the voices supporting what you do and also underlining how much it is needed and is a lifeline. Again: Thank You
