A podcast with goofy conversations, thourough historical research episodes, and two friends moving through life with each other; sharing meaningful songs and foundational experiences.
I’ve learned about friendship from hearing Matt and Destin communicate with each other which has changed the way I interact with the relationships in my life. I’ve learned about religion in a way that has given me insight into its value and historical significance. Most importantly, I have learned the value of disagreement and how to use it to make ourselves and each other better.
Some of my favourite moments are when the two hosts disagree on a topic and talk it through. Instead of the conversation devolving into a debate with interruptions and accusations, they game out a thoughtful discussion fulled with respect and perspective. It is even better when one of them says or thinks something different to what I believe, and I get to put those same principals into practice in my own thoughts.
This is a podcast everyone can learn from and enjoy. In a world full of anger, conflict, and judgement; it is refreshing to tune in every two weeks to a conversation where there are no dumb questions.
