58: You’re Not “Too Much” — You’ve Just Been Trained to Be Less

What if the parts of yourself you've spent your entire life trying to tone down are actually the very parts that make you powerful? Too loud. Too emotional. Too sexual. Too intense. Too opinionated. Too sensitive. Too confident. Too demanding. Too fucking much. Sound familiar, baby girl? ❤️‍🔥 In this fiery and deeply empowering solo episode of Sync-In Flow the Podcast, Josie Thorne explores how women are conditioned from a young age to shrink themselves, suppress their desires, silence their voices and make themselves more palatable to the world around them. Because here's the uncomfortable truth: you weren't born believing you were too much. Somewhere along the way, you were taught to become less. Through personal stories, shadow work, nervous system wisdom and feminine embodiment teachings, Josie unpacks the invisible ways patriarchal conditioning, childhood experiences, societal expectations and internalised shame shape our relationship with our own power. In this episode, we dive into: Why women are labelled "too much" when they express their emotions, sexuality, opinions and desires How the Good Girl archetype conditions women to seek approval, people-please and abandon themselves The connection between fear of being seen, nervous system responses and self-suppression Why your sensitivity, intensity and emotional depth aren't inherently weaknesses How shame around feminine sexuality keeps women disconnected from their pleasure and power The difference between being authentically expressed and seeking validation through performance How shadow work and somatic embodiment can help you reclaim the parts of yourself you've rejected Why becoming a fully expressed woman requires the courage to disappoint people, challenge expectations and be misunderstood Practical ways to stop shrinking and start taking up space unapologetically This episode is for the woman who's spent years editing her personality, dimming her light, suppressing her sensuality and apologising for simply existing. You don't need to become quieter, smaller, softer-spoken or easier to digest to be worthy of love, respect and belonging. And reclaiming your power doesn't mean you never need to grow, regulate your emotions or take accountability. It means learning to distinguish between the parts of yourself that genuinely need healing and the parts you've been conditioned to believe are unacceptable. Because the goal of healing was never to make you more palatable. It was to make you more YOU. ✨ READY TO STOP SHRINKING & START EMBODYING YOUR POWER? Inside my signature 13-week feminine embodiment and womb healing programme, LIBERATED WOMB, we dive deep into the conditioning, subconscious patterns, emotional wounds and embodied practices that help you reclaim your voice, sensuality, confidence and feminine sovereignty. It's time to stop asking for permission to be the woman you already are. ❤️‍🔥 Explore Liberated Womb and my coaching offerings through the links in the show notes. Remember, babe: You're not too much. You were just never meant to fit inside someone else's limitations.

57: Return of the Witch: Matriarchy, Earth Wisdom & Birthing New Systems of Care

THE WITCH IS BACK, BABY. 🧙‍♀️🔥🌿 And she's not here to play by the rules of a dying system. She's here to help birth a new one. What if the return of the modern-day witch isn't just a spiritual awakening, but a collective remembering of the wisdom we've been conditioned to forget? In this episode of Sync-In Flow the Podcast, I'm joined by fellow South African witch, radical woman, earth wisdom keeper and Matriarchal Studies scholar Annette Müller for a deliciously provocative conversation about the revival of the modern-day witch, the ancient wisdom of matriarchal societies, and what it might actually take to create a world rooted in care, reciprocity and reverence for ALL life. Both Annette and I have lived our fair share of wild, rebellious and reckless chapters. But somewhere along the way, our paths led us back to the Earth, our bodies, our feminine wisdom and the sacredness of life itself. Because perhaps the wild woman was never meant to be tamed. Perhaps she was meant to become wise. ❤️‍🔥 Together, we explore what happens when women stop trying to fit into systems built on domination, extraction and disconnection — and begin remembering their capacity to create something radically different. IN THIS EPISODE, WE EXPLORE: 🌙 The Return of the Witch: Who is the modern-day witch, why is she re-emerging, and what is her role in society today? 🔥 From Wild Woman to Wise Woman: How our rebellious younger years became part of our initiation into deeper self-awareness, embodiment and spiritual devotion. 🌿 Earth-Based Spirituality & Ancestral Wisdom: Reconnecting with nature, ritual, cyclical living and the sacred intelligence of the natural world. 🩸 The Witch Wound & Feminine Suppression: How historical persecution, religious conditioning and patriarchal narratives have shaped women's relationships with their power, intuition and spirituality. 👑 Matriarchy vs Patriarchy: What matriarchal societies actually are, why matriarchy doesn't simply mean reversing the gender hierarchy, and what alternative models of power can teach us. 🌍 Birthing New Systems of Care: What would society look like if we prioritised community, cooperation, ecological regeneration, collective wellbeing and care over competition and endless extraction? 🕯️ The Witch as a Modern-Day Wisdom Keeper: Why ritual, community building, feminine leadership and embodied spirituality may have an important role to play in shaping our collective future. Because the revolution isn't just about dismantling the old world. It's about having the courage, wisdom and imagination to birth a new one. And perhaps the most radical thing a woman can do today isn't simply reclaim her own power, but remember how to use that power in service of something greater than herself. This conversation is an invitation to question what we've been taught about power, progress, spirituality and womanhood — and to imagine a future where ALL life has the opportunity to thrive. The witch is returning. The question is: are we ready to remember what she's here for? 🧙‍♀️✨ CONNECT WITH ANNETTE: Explore Annette's work, offerings and Radical Woman initiations: 🌿 Website: https://www.annettemuller.love/ CONNECT WITH JOSIE: ❤️‍🔥 Instagram: @josie_thorne 🌹 Website: https://www.syncinflow.com/ 🩸 Ready to reclaim your womb wisdom, embody your feminine power and become the woman you came here to be? 56: Learn to Trust Other Women Again: Healing Mother-Sister Wound Dynamics

Do you deeply crave sisterhood… but simultaneously find it difficult to fully trust other women? Maybe you've been betrayed, excluded, gossiped about or bullied by women. Maybe beautiful, confident or successful women trigger something inside you. Maybe you've spent years saying, *"I just get along better with men."* But what if your relationship with women goes much deeper than your current friendships? In this deeply personal solo episode of *Sync-In Flow the Podcast*, Josie Thorne explores the *Mother/Sister Wound and the inherited stories that shape how we relate to other women*. We explore how our earliest relationships with mothers, sisters, female caregivers and friendship groups can influence our nervous system's understanding of feminine connection—and how experiences of comparison, rejection, jealousy and competition can follow us into adulthood. Josie also dives into the ancestral and collective layers of this work: the patterns around womanhood that can travel through family lineages, and what happens when we consciously decide to become the cycle breakers. In this episode, we explore: ❤️‍🩹 What the *Mother Wound and Sister Wound* actually are ❤️‍🩹 Why healing your relationship with women can be an essential part of feminine healing ❤️‍🩹 Jealousy, comparison, competition and projection between women ❤️‍🩹 How your relationship with your mother can influence the woman you become ❤️‍🩹 Recognising when another woman is reflecting a disowned part of yourself ❤️‍🩹 The difference between discernment and expecting every woman to hurt you ❤️‍🩹 Why healing doesn't mean blindly trusting every woman ❤️‍🩹 Becoming the kind of woman who feels safe to other women ❤️‍🩹 The medicine of women's circles, sisterhood and being witnessed ❤️‍🩹 Breaking inherited patterns around femininity within your ancestral lineage Because healing sisterhood isn't about pretending women never hurt each other. It's about becoming secure enough within yourself to **discern who is safe, repair what can be repaired, stop abandoning yourself for belonging, and experience the kind of female relationships you may never have believed were possible.** JOURNAL WITH THIS EPISODE: 1️⃣ What did my mother teach me about being a woman? 2️⃣ What stories about women were spoken in my home growing up? 3️⃣ Which women trigger me most, and what might they be reflecting back to me? 4️⃣ Where have I abandoned myself to fit into female friendships? 5️⃣ What would it look like to become a safe woman for other women? ✨ *READY TO GO DEEPER?* If this episode brought something up for you, my work goes far beyond simply understanding these patterns intellectually. ➡️ Through my unique *Sync-In Flow* methodology, we work with feminine embodiment, womb healing, nervous system safety, shadow work, sensuality and the deeper patterns that keep you disconnected from your body, your power and other women. If you're ready to stop repeating the patterns you inherited and become the cycle breaker in your lineage, explore my coaching and programmes through the links in the show notes. Your healing doesn't end with you. ❤️‍🔥

55: We healed her 10/10 period cramps in 6 weeks, & her fear of sex in 12

What happens when healing your period becomes the doorway to healing your relationship with your body, your sexuality, and yourself? In this episode, I’m joined by Bella — a former client who came to me experiencing 10/10 period cramps alongside a deep fear and disconnection around sex. Over the course of our work together, we went far beyond simply talking about her period. In just 6 weeks, her period pain went from a 10/10 to around a 1–2/10 — and over the following months, we began exploring the deeper layers underneath her relationship with sex, pleasure, safety, and her body. By 12 weeks, she was navigating sexuality from a completely different place. In this deeply honest conversation, Bella shares what her experience of womb healing was actually like — including: 🌹 What her period pain was like before coaching🌹 The connection between physical symptoms and emotional patterns🌹 How she began reconnecting with her body🌹 Working through fear and resistance around sex🌹 What changed when she stopped treating her body like a problem to fix🌹 The surprising ways her healing affected other areas of her life🌹 What it’s actually like to be coached by me This isn't a story about a magic quick fix. It's a conversation about listening to your body, getting curious about what your symptoms might be communicating, and creating a deeper relationship with your womb, sexuality and feminine body. If you’ve been struggling with painful periods, feeling disconnected from your body, or carrying shame, fear or confusion around sex and pleasure, Bella’s story may give you a new perspective on what’s possible. ✨ Want support with your own healing? If you’re ready to stop just managing your symptoms and start building a deeper relationship with your body, I work with women through 1:1 Womb Healing & Feminine Embodiment Coaching. DM me “HEAL” on Instagram or get in touch to explore working together. Your body isn't broken. You just never learnt how to listen to her.

54: Your Fear of Being "Too Sexy" & Getting Harassed Is Keeping You Suppressed & Small

How much of yourself have you edited, hidden or suppressed in order to feel safe?In this raw and nuanced solo episode of *Sync-In Flow the Podcast*, Josie Thorne explores the complicated relationship many women have with **visibility, sensuality, beauty, sexual expression and safetyBecause let's be clear: women's fears around harassment are valid. We live in a world where women have been catcalled, objectified, sexualised and violated—and learning to protect ourselves is not paranoia. But at the same time, how much of your life are you living around the fear of attracting the wrong kind of attention? How often have you made yourself smaller, covered yourself up, stopped dancing, avoided eye contact, hidden your sensuality or dimmed your personality because somewhere along the way your body learnt:Being seen = being unsafe. In this episode, Josie explores:👁️ Why so many women unconsciously suppress their sensuality and visibility👁️ How experiences of harassment can shape the nervous system and our relationship with being seen👁️ The difference between taking practical safety precautions and allowing fear to become the architect of your identity👁️ Why your sensuality, beauty and aliveness are never the problem👁️ How sexual suppression can impact your creativity, confidence, voice and self-expression👁️ What it means to cultivate **internal safety, resilience and self-trust**👁️ How to become more embodied, discerning and responsive without needing to become fearless👁️ Why Hot Girl Healing is about becoming radically at home in your body—not performing sexiness for validationThis episode is *not* about telling women to ignore danger, abandon common sense or pretend that harassment doesn't exist. It's about reclaiming the right to decide:➡️ How much of me gets to live? ❤️‍🔥Because the goal isn't to become less visible so the world leaves you alone. The goal is to become so deeply rooted in yourself that fear no longer gets to decide who you are allowed to be.✨ Tune in now for a powerful conversation on feminine embodiment, sexual liberation, safety, self-expression and reclaiming the parts of yourself that fear taught you to hide.Journal Prompts• What parts of myself have I hidden to feel safer?• When did I first learn that being beautiful or sensual could be dangerous?• What does my body associate with visibility?• What would my most liberated self wear, say, dance like, create, or express?• What would change if I trusted myself more than I feared other people's projections?➡️ If you're ready to stop shrinking yourself and reconnect with the woman you were before fear taught you to disappear, this is exactly the work we do inside *Liberated Womb* ❤️‍🔥 Together, we heal the stories stored in the body, rebuild safety from within, and reclaim the sensual, powerful woman who has been there all along.
