    Learning to See God’s Love Everywhere

    Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly!Today we're talking about being romanced by the King and learning to recognize the ways God is reaching out to us throughout our day. Ephesians 5:25 says, “Husbands, love your wives just as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for her.” While we often hear this scripture in the context of marriage, today we're looking at another beautiful picture of Christ's love for us.Pastor Scot and Pastor Holly continue the conversation from “Crowned with a Promise, Romanced by the King” and explore what it means to see Jesus as our Bridegroom—the King who loves us with a pure, everlasting, and intimate love.They take us to the Song of Solomon, a beautiful picture of the Bridegroom and the bride. When we understand Jesus as our Bridegroom, we can begin to see Scripture as more than rules and religion—it becomes a love story and a love letter from God to us.So how does the King romance us? One of the ways is through beauty.Look around you. God didn't create a sterile, emotionless world. He filled it with incredible beauty—sunrises, sunsets, flowers, mountains, skies, landscapes, and so many unique details that can stop us in our tracks.But sometimes we're so busy with life that we don't stop long enough to receive it.That beautiful sunrise might be more than just a sunrise. That flower, that moment of peace, that breathtaking view, or even that simple cup of coffee might be an invitation from God saying, “I was thinking about you today.”What if we started looking at the beauty around us as one of the ways our King is reaching out and reminding us that we are loved?Today, slow down. Open your eyes. Receive the romance. Receive the beauty. Receive the love that God is putting into your day.     Don’t Slander—Build People Up!

    Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scott and Pastor Jason. Today we're talking about the power of our words and why we need to stop talking badly about people. James 4:11 says, “Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another.” What we say about people when they're not in the room matters, and our words can either build relationships or tear them down. Pastor Scott and Pastor Jason talk about how easy it can be to join conversations filled with criticism, accusations, and negativity. But instead of participating in gossip or slander, we're called to build people up, encourage one another, and speak life. They share a simple but powerful challenge: when someone starts telling you something negative about another person who isn't there, ask, “Why don't we call them before we talk about them?” Go directly to the person instead of allowing accusations and assumptions to spread. This kind of wisdom can transform our friendships, marriages, families, churches, workplaces, and every relationship in our lives. We should be people who protect others with our words, choose integrity over retaliation, and remember that love covers. Pastor Scott and Pastor Jason also use a powerful picture: be helium. Everything that comes out of our mouths should have the potential to lift people higher, not become a heavy weight that brings them down. Imagine what would happen if we made it our goal to speak about people as though they were standing right beside us. And there's another powerful reminder in this episode: God isn't finished with your story. Haggai 2:9 says, “The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former.” Don't spend so much time looking back at what God has done that you miss what He is still preparing to do. Just like the movie illustration at the end of the episode, the movie isn't over yet. When everything looks like it's falling apart, the story isn't finished until the credits roll. God is still working, and He can save the best for last. So today, choose to speak life, build people up, protect your relationships, and stop looking backward. Your story isn't over.     Faith Can Change the Timing: Stop Waiting for “Someday”

    Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Jason, Pastor Scott, and Pastor Grace. Today we're talking about faith, God's timing, and learning to receive what God has for you now. In John 2, when Jesus and His disciples were invited to a wedding and the wine ran out, Jesus said, “My hour has not yet come.” But Mary told the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” This powerful story reminds us that faith can change the timing of what we believe God is going to do. Pastor Jason, Pastor Scott, and Pastor Grace talk about how we can sometimes become comfortable saying, “Someday God will do it,” or “I'll have it eventually.” But faith operates in the now. Hebrews 11 teaches us that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. They talk about the difference between natural timing and spiritual timing. There may be seasons where God is preparing and equipping you, just as David had a season of preparation before becoming king. But there are also moments when God is saying, “Now is the time.” What have you been believing God for? Joy? Peace? Healing? Purpose? Provision? A breakthrough in your family or business? Don't automatically assume that everything has to happen years from now. God can redeem time and move you into what He has prepared for you. Faith isn't about begging a reluctant God to finally give you what you need. God's Word says He supplies our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. When you receive the revelation of what God has placed inside you, you can begin to conceive it in your heart, see it by faith, and walk toward it. Your circumstances may say, “It's going to take years.” Your experience may say, “That's impossible.” But faith says, “God can change things.” Don't limit what God can do based only on natural timelines. You don't have to wait until you're older to experience God's goodness. You can have joy now. You can have peace now. You can believe for healing now. You can step into purpose now. God has placed purpose inside of you, and your life can make a difference in your family, your community, and your world.     Don’t Miss Your Turn: Trust God’s Timing

    Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scott and Pastor Jason. Today we're talking about not missing your turn and learning to trust God's timing. Habakkuk 2:3 says, “For the vision is yet for an appointed time.” Sometimes what God has promised you isn't late—it's simply not time yet. Pastor Scott and Pastor Jason talk about how easy it is to become discouraged when we see other people stepping into their opportunities, finding their purpose, getting married, building their careers, or experiencing things we've been waiting for. But just because it's someone else's turn doesn't mean you've missed yours. They use the story of David to show how God makes sure His purposes are fulfilled. David's own father didn't even call him in when Samuel came to anoint the future king. David was out in the field doing what he was supposed to be doing. But when his appointed time came, God made sure David was brought to the table. The key is to stay at the table and keep doing what God has called you to do. Don't rush ahead because you're afraid you've missed your opportunity. Don't try to take someone else's turn. And don't allow regret or comparison to convince you that God has forgotten you. Sometimes God is still preparing what you've been praying for. Just like something being prepared in the kitchen, pulling it out too early doesn't make it ready. God knows the right time. So if you're waiting on a vision, a purpose, a relationship, an opportunity, or something you've been believing God for, be patient. Wait until the gate opens and God gives you the green light. You haven't missed your turn. Stay faithful, stay ready, and trust the appointed time. And remember, you were created for greatness. God has placed purpose and potential inside of you so that your life can make an impact and leave a legacy. Don't let condemnation and regret keep you trapped in the past.     Take Off the Mask: Be Who God Created You to Be

Today we're talking about taking off the masks and labels that have been placed on your life. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, “Encourage one another and build one another up.” God created you uniquely and wonderfully, and the world needs the real you. Pastor Scott and Pastor Holly talk about how easy it is to carry labels that tell us what we can't do, what we can't have, or who we're supposed to be. These masks can come from our past, our relationships, our experiences, or even the negative voices we listen to in our minds. But God doesn't want you living behind a mask. He wants you to recognize the value, gifts, personality, and purpose He placed inside you. What you believe about yourself will affect how you live your life. They also talk about the importance of the words we speak to other people. Instead of becoming another voice that tears someone down or confirms the negative things they've been told about themselves, we can be the voice that encourages, builds up, and reminds them of who God says they are. Just like Pastor Scott and Holly discovered with a difficult waitress, sometimes changing the voice we give someone can completely change the way they respond. When we choose encouragement instead of criticism, we can help create an environment where people feel safe enough to take off their own masks. You don't have to keep wearing the mask of perfection, pride, insecurity, lack, failure, or limitation. Take off the mask. Celebrate who God created you to be. Live authentically and freely. And as you do, look for opportunities to help others do the same. Be someone who builds people up and confirms God's voice in their life—not the enemy's voice.     Stop Fighting the Wrong Battles

Today we're talking about **fighting the right battles**. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 reminds us that our struggle isn't against the flesh, and that the weapons of our warfare are mighty in God for pulling down strongholds and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ. Pastor Scott and Pastor Jason talk about how easy it is to waste our energy fighting with people, arguing over small things, trying to prove we're right, or getting caught up in frustration and misunderstandings. But those battles can leave us emotionally exhausted and distract us from the battles that actually matter. Our real struggle isn't against people. When we bring our thoughts into alignment with God's Word, we can stop fighting the wrong battles and start walking in the victory God has already given us.     Stop Carrying Bitterness Into Your Tomorrow

Today we're talking about choosing love in everything we do. 1 Corinthians 16:14 says, “Let all that you do be done with love.” Love isn't just a feeling — it's an action and a choice we make in how we treat people every day. Pastor Scott and Pastor Jason talk about what it means to respond with love when people frustrate us, disappoint us, or hurt us. Whether it's a difficult situation at work, a disagreement in your marriage, or conflict with family and friends, we're called to respond differently. Sometimes we have to choose our battles, and sometimes we need to have a difficult conversation. But either way, the goal is to let go of bitterness, forgive quickly, and communicate with love.     God Will Restore What You Lost

    Good morning and welcome to Wake Up with Pastor Scott and Pastor Holly. Today we're talking about **the power of God's name and how He can restore what has been lost**. Psalm 68:3-4 reminds us to rejoice before God and praise His name. There is power and connection in knowing the name of Jesus and remembering who He is in the middle of whatever we're facing. Pastor Scott and Pastor Holly talk about how easy it is to forget to call on God when problems come. But when we remember His name, we remember that **God is our refuge, our strength, our protector, and our source of victory**. We also look at the story of the great locust plague of 1874 and how many people gave up after losing everything. But those who stayed saw restoration beyond what they had originally lost. Joel 2:25 says, *“I will restore to you the years.”* Maybe you've lost years to the wrong job, the wrong relationship, a failed business, broken friendships, or simply choices that didn't lead where you hoped. **God can restore what the locusts have stolen.** It may feel like you've lost too much or that it's too late to start again, but God is still able to bring restoration.
